Ya'll keep Shevis Irons in your prayers

Surgery this AM. This a repair what didn't work last week. Need this to work, the alternative is very unfortunate.

Yell are awesome for including me in your prayers.

One of the FB coaches told me he was going to get the entire staff to include me in their prayers.

OK, if Charlie Strong tells Cancer to take a hike, my confidence level just picked up.

Outstanding. . .

So the Dr just came in and said it's been pushed to 4.

The surgeon had burnt orange scrubs on so I knew..... didn't have to ask. We talked UT football for awhile.
Like this surprises anyone that knows you!  I think you'd probably talk UT football to an oak tree if it would listen.  :D

Ya'll are cracking me up.

Qui ck update. I am no longer in the study. To many issues going on. Stint to keep trachea from closing due to tumor didn't work. So, they're going to start heavy radiation and chemo tomorrow. Radiation, twice a day to try and shrink the tumor. Chemo because it intensifies the heavy radiation.

Then pray.

Last night was particularly bad. Today has been good other than totally humiliating myself with a bad case of the you know what's that I didn't even make into the bathroom for.

Ha.! Let that image sink in for awhile!

Thanks for the update Dennis.

Regarding Radiation and Chemo, embrace the bald head!  I could probably arrange for BOBA to send you a used head-band.....similar to how those female adult "actresses" will send out their panties.  :P    Let THAT image sink in.  ;)

Hang in there brotha, and let us know if there's anything we can do for you.

if having a positive attitude helps (and i'm a big believer it does), then i like the hell out of your chances.

My eyes! My Eyes! My Eyes! Just thinking of that image!

Seriously though, prayers being sent for you. Don't know you, but from what I'm reading here, you as good as they come. Hang in there.

Now on a less serious note, I'm not letting you forget that you promised me a Payne Stewart story awhile back :)

In football terms, Dennis is NAILS.

If he were a place kicker there would be no wide right...  only "splits the uprights."  As a QB, he's not dual-threat...  He's quad-threat.

And if you serve him cheap beer.....  just don't do it!

We have your back, Dennis - always!  Get some rest  - you have a long day tomorrow.

Sounds like he is the XX world's most interesting man! Continue to stay strong my friend!
