Plano West vs Trinity

[Mike Roach]

We will be watching two players closely in this game.

Plano West running back Soso Jamobo has shown interest lately in officially visiting Texas.  Jamobo looks like a receiver at the next level but could be used in a hybrid role as a way more advanced version of what Texas does with Daje Johnson.  I hope to get some sort of interview with Jamobo after the game.

Trinity offensive lineman Patrick Vahe is committed to the Longhorns and is a mauler for the Trojans.  Vahe has recently discussed other visits and showed up at Texas A&M a few weeks ago.  I think Vahe is a center at the next level and am interested to see him up close today.

[Mike Roach]

Plano West fans chanting "we can't hear you" during the Haka.  I don't think they want to make them angry.

[Mike Roach]

In a game with two offenses that are run heavy (and will help get these games back on schedule) Plano West moves down the field and scores on a 15 yard quarterback run to go up 7-0

[Mike Roach]

Trinity has run 4 plays and Vahe has three pancakes.

[Mike Roach]

Trinity answers from 19 yards out on a run by Ja'ron Wilson to tie it at 7

[Mike Roach]

Jamabo doesn't appear to like contact.  Just went down on his own in the open fieldwith Trinity players swarming.

[Mike Roach]

End of the first and tied at 7

[Mike Roach]

Trinity tailback Ja'Ron Wilson is a nice player.  Good downhill runner who gets tough yards.  Vahe moves very well for his size.  They also line him up at either right or left a lot depending on which side they want to run to.

[Mike Roach]

Ja'ron Wilson goes in from 5 yards out to make the score 14-7 Trinity.

[Mike Roach]

Trinity gets a pick 6 to run the score up to 21-7.  The Trinity defense is fast, aggressive, and hits very hard.  They've already had several highlight tackles.

[Mike Roach]

Plano West completes a long circus catch to get the ball down tot he 8.  Jamabo limping on the field.   He took a pretty good knock on the knee.

[Mike Roach]

West kicks a field goal to make it 21-10 Trinity.  Jamabo took another shot to the knee and crawled off the field.  Having a hard time putting weight on it.

[Mike Roach]

Jamabo is up and walking on the sideline and able to move better.  Doesn't look serious.

[Mike Roach]

Trinity just plays the best brand of smashmouth football in the state.  Straight power on a run from 13 yards out to extend the lead to 28-10

[Mike Roach]

AT the half 28-10.  Trinity is dominating this game physically The two teams look in totally different classes.  Gonna go down and try to get some pictures in the 2nd half.

[Mike Roach]

I'm away from the computer and trying to access the press box but a Jamabo run from 10 yards out cuts the score to 42-24 but Trinity responds on the first play next possession. Now up 49-24.

[Aaron Carrara]

I caught Vahe at the North Shore game.  He's legit and doesn't move backwards.  Power guy.

[Mike Roach]

Much like Frampton, Jamabo is starting to come alive. Trinity lead cut to 49-31 on a Jamabo 18 yard run

[Mike Roach]

Got an interview with Vahe i'm working on now.  That's one scary dude.  I didn't get a lot of time because you are so rushed getting off the field at AT&T stadium but Texas fans are going to like what he had to say.
