Why be confident about this game?

In 2012, WVU scored 48 points to beat the Horns. In 2013, the Mountaineers scored 40 in an OT loss. So.....why be confident?

Baylor in 2014

Passing yards/game - 349

Points/game - 50.4

Bryce Petty - 290.6 passing yards/game

Against Texas this year, Baylor scored 21 offensive points and Petty was 7/22 for 111 yards

Oklahoma in 2014

Passing yards/game - 262.9

Points/game - 41.5

Trevor Knight - 256.4 passing yards/game

Against Texas this year, OU scored 17 offensive points and Knight was 12/20 for 129 yards

Clint Trickett and WVU bring in a high-powered passing attack, but this Bedford guy knows what he's doing.

WVU averages a turnover each game so Texas will have opportunity there as well. Interested to see what Bedford throws at them.

I believe it will come down to Swoops and the OL. If they have a bad game then we lose. If they have a good game we have a chance for the upset and our first win of the year over a rated team. I'm hoping the success the offense had against a terrible Texas Tech defense in the their puke ugly alternative uniforms will give the offense confidence against a better defense. A better offense will help keep the defense off the field.
