A&M staff needs to tell Capers-Smith he will get an opportunity at QB. I can't blame the kid for looking around at QB offers, his stats are every bit as good at this point as Murray.

From Scout:

"Mack Back on the Market?

The recruitment of Daylon Mack, a 6-foot-0, 330-pound defensive tackle from Gladewater (Texas) High has been a fun and unique one to follow.

Since making his commitment to play at Texas A&M he has been responsive to other program and recently took an official visit to TCU and has reported he will take at least one more official visit to Baylor, LSU or Texas.

"Definitely, they're (TCU) a major factor in my recruiting process right now," he said. "I've stayed in contact with TCU because they were one of my earliest offers. My parents really like it, I really like it; they're just a big factor right now."

Mack will be taking an unofficial trip to LSU this weekend.

Scout.com has determined that his commitment to TAMU is a 'soft verbal' at this time."

This was posted over at shaggy on Ramsey, "Wescott at BON is saying something similar that the Texas staff fell out of contact with Ramsey."

Like I said, someone reported a month ago that the staff had lost contact with Ramsey (pretty sure it was 247 but it might have been someone else). Ramsey may have decommitted for some other reason, but based on that previous report my guess is that he decommitted due to lack of contact with the staff.

This article makes it sound like it isn't a certainly that Kyler Murray will play CFB, might opt for the MLB draft.
There is a hell of a lot more money to be made in baseball than there is in football - especially for an under-sized guy trying to play QB.  He could always come back to college football if the baseball career doesn't pan out.

If you're a high draft pick - you have to go baseball, don't you?

It's an impressive list but they don't really have a shot with about 2/3 of them. I guess it can't hurt to get them on campus though. I would actually prefer smaller visitor lists, focusing on targets I actually had a chance with. To each their own though, maybe all those players together will add hype to the event.

Even taking only 1/3 of them would be prettay good

Keep in mind. A lot of recruiting is not just about who you get, it's about who you can keep away from your opponents. I don't think LSU has the expectation that they'll lock down most of the guys on that list. But they know that they just brought a lot of talented kids together who now won't be visiting TAMU, Bama, Auburn and etc. this week. Especially when they know that the time is expiring for some of these kids to make commitments.

Just how I see it. Oh and I love how these Texas recruits (especially Charles O) are so adamant about recruiting for Texas.
