i am going to venture over to the RAJIN CAJUN on RICHMOND to pick up some of that great seafood gumbo.  at first i wanted chicken from HAVEN,

but my mood has changed.  heck, maybe it's the weather.  however, i love their great honey, buttery cornbread... yummy.

then, i shall dive into one of my great novel's and browse my forum / website's..... happy halloween!

Taking the kids to a Halloween thing at a children's museum in Oak Ridge and then stopping by a few community places for trick or treats (which I will eventually steal from my kids whilst they sleep).

My sons are in college now so they don't go out.  We used to enjoy the kids in our neighborhood that we knew come by our house and we gave them treats.  Most of them have grown up beyond the trick or treating phase and our neighborhood is largely worked by what I call "the professionals."  That is: packs of older teenagers with pillow cases seeking to make large hauls of candy.  So in recent years we turn off all the lights in the house and head out to sip adult beverages and eat something fun.  Friday night we probably will head over to BJ's and watch whatever college game might be on Friday night.

Solid costume idea here:
