Texas basketball updates

Seth Greenberg and Fran Frachilla were apparently at the Longhorn's practice yesterday. Here is what they had to say on Twitter.

"Texas will be an effective zone team. Long and athletic Ability to disrupt."

"Myles Turner is an excellent passer with a feel."

"Isiah Taylor explosive up the floor."

"Back line zone breakdown. Texas can play a big long zone with Ridley Holmes and Turner."

"Texas has been a good 2-3 Zone team in past. With Holmes, Turner & Ridley on the back line, they should be hard to score on, at times. Length!"

Greenberg also posted a pic of Ridley on Instagram but I can't get it to copy and paste here. Ridley looks like a completely different man. He has completely reshaped his body.

Attached is the pic of Ridley. I wonder how much weight he's lost since coming in his FR year?

More comments from Franschilla.

"Demarcus Holland is much improved & reminding me more & more of Royal Ivey. If he's not best on-ball defender in country, it's short list."

"The "big " front line of Ridley, Turner and Holmes looked better than I expected, in part, because Holmes is in great shape and moving well."

"Was not only impressed with Texas' size and depth yesterday but also how much Rick Barnes likes his team's work ethic and chemistry. No egos."

I wish someone would report on how Croaker looks.

I don't have a Twitter account anymore. I just browse certain users every now and then. I'm sure if someone asked Fran or Greenberg they would answer on Twitter, they seem pretty open to discussion.

From what we hear, nothing substantial to be honest. And practices have only been going for at most a week. He is still working hard which is good but has he made substantial steps in becoming a star? We won't know until November.

I've sern video of Croaker playing some pickup games and offensively he looked great. Can't commit on his defense though, and I think that is what held him back last year. When he tweets it's always positive.

Taylor's reportedly not making the trip to KC because of a spill he took in practice. Not much other info out yet except what I saw at 247.

UT confirmed it was a head injury but not serious. .

Apparently my live tweets in KC do not meet the high standards of Juan Grande's tweet posting.
