From the outside, there is no reason to think Saban is coming to Texas. I'm not privy to the emails, etc. of some, all I know is what I can see.

There is no way Texas is going to bring Briles in to turn Texas into a Mountain West Conference team. I just don't believe it. Look at the others...Saban, Harbaugh, Jimbo, Strong...these are big boy football coaches. Briles simpy doesn't fit.

It's baffling to me that anyone would think that the people at Texas would want Briles as their front man. Great football coach, but don't see how he passes muster in other aspects of the job.

I think these names we are hearing are a result of Korn vetting potential candidates. Probably going to vet a number of coaches.

The committee doesn't have anything to do with it. By this time, Patterson should have a pretty good idea who the candidates are and have begun general discussions with agents on what is going to be required for each candidate...IMHO.

I know that some want to think that their team is the best team and so end up personalizing things. But the thing that I am LEAST interested in is the competition between sites. Everyone should take Mcphauls post to heart.

Really hard to believe. Given the nature of the Texas job, doesn't seem like the best fit...not that he's not a good football coach.
