On this trip I have met many SEC fans and they would have loved to have Texas in the SEC. The would be no end to the money. I told them in a nice way that Texas would not come to the SEC and at Texas money is not a problem. One from Alabama his name was Bill told me " having the aggy in the SEC is like have a toothless girl for the prom. He said the storm troopers (his words) have this ego thing that is almost makes him sick. We have been exposed to this aggy crap they spin and most of us in the SEC are sick of them. Further more they will never be accepted as a real SEC team".

I was laughing so hard because he didn't tell me anything that we in the Big 12 haven't already said. That when I told him that they are all yours and thanks for taking then. I also told Bill "besides if Texas did come to the SEC the aggy would be looking for someplace to hide." I would like to run into Bill on the way home he was really a funny guy to talk to.

The people who like aggy the most are the ones who know them the least. As the SEC fans get to know aggy, opinions will develop similar to the opinions most SWC/Big 12 fans held of them.

Funny, but what is a "real SEC team"?  Has either Arkansas or South Carolina been accepted as a real SEC team yet?  How does one aspire to such an exalted title?

Backwoods town? CHECK

J.B. TexasEx my friend listening to Bill talk he is a big SEC fan but also seem to know a lot about Texas. I think what Bill meant was as the new comers the aggy have not been accepted by the SEC.

The aggy are dead to me and I have talked more about them than I should be. But one thing that has not changed is they still amaze with the silly things they still do to get attention.

It is pretty clear why aggy has created a web of bullshit around their athletic "success." They know that 15 year old recruits probably will just believe a bunch of dates and banners. It is all smoke and mirrors, much like their on field results, and the only really disturbing thing is that it is kind of working for the time being. The fact that aggy has been able to continue to parlay media hype and basic propaganda into recruiting success is annoying but not really a surprise. They have never been able to compete fairly in their entire history, but the propaganda machine will collapse once this seasons' results begin to come in.
