****Around the horn: NCAA Baseball Conference Tourney Updates Thread****

Another reason why I think Texas will host.

Kendall Rogers tweet,. "NCAA is licking its chops at the possibility of A&M-Texas in an NCAA Regional."

A&M is a bubble team at best. And that may be giving them too much credit.

That sounds more like a zealous fan's thought than a selection committee member, IMO.

If Texas gets to the finals of the Big 12 tournament, I think a Texas vs A&M matchup in Austin is a very good possibility (that's if A&M makes the tournament).

It's questionable if A&M makes the tournament, but I think they might get in with the SEC rep. I don't think 10 teams have ever made it from a single conference and A&M is the 10th best team in the SEC, so they will have to beat the norm to get in. A&M's RPI is decent enough to get in the tournament IMO. Granted, there other things on their resume that might dissuade the committee like a bad road record, bad conference record, and bad finish to the season.

When the Vols and Aggies both lost in the SEC's opening round, that might have sealed the deal on 9 teams from the league instead of 10. At this point both those schools need to be cheering for all the favorites to win out. More auto-bids that are handed out to underdogs really hurts their chances.

Will be close. I don't think A&M deserves to be in the tournament based on their resume, but I think the SEC will get 10 teams in.

A&M's RPI down to 40 and keeps falling. You might be right about them not making the tournament.

Key Bubble games today (for A&M) -

Clemson lost to GaTech and fell to 2-1 in in ACC Tourney.

DBU lost to Missouri State in 10, 5-3

UC-Fullerton & LBSU both play late tonight.

Illinois beat MSU, 2-1 to stay alive in the Big10 loser's bracket.

Southern Miss plays in an elimination game this evening.

WVU & BU are tied at 2 in the 7th

A&M not worthy of an invite IMO, sub .500 conference record + poor non-conf + terrible last 10 games.

#1 Oregon St lost their second straight game tonight, the opener against USC.

Cal upset Oregon tonight, which helps Texas' RPI.

Washington lost tonight as well.
