Please don't take this personally, Mike, but just what makes Rivals opinion so special? What experts do they employ? Any former NFL coaches, any former college coaches? I think that before indicting our coaching staff, I will wait to see what he puts on the field. He has been on the job for approximately 4 and 1/2 months, and he has implemented much needed academic changes, salvaged a recruiting class, held Spring Training, and is now on Tour. What more do you want the man to do?

I get the distinct impression that he does not have your support, and that is because I see one criticism after another from you. Why? Please correct me if I am wrong, but the continual negativity is difficult to understand.

What $EC team, other than Bama, has a record that you envy when compared to UT?  Maybe UF?  Don't say LSU, because their last MNC game appearance was BS.

This is a new strategy, at least for me. I'm accustomed to Texas fans boasting about the butt load of early commits and being told this wasn't so great because so many spots were taken by the time some athletes came into their own during the senior year.

I don't think the early tallies mean much. I don't think the late tallies mean much in the long term. These things are cyclical. It was just a few years ago when people criticized the SEC and sang the praises of the Big 12.

We may or may not need to make a change in conference. IMO, that still remains to be determined and I'm fairly confident in our new AD in making the correct call there.

Is it ok that I don't panic 9 months in advance of signing day about 17 year olds who may or may not develop into good college players 2-4 years after that?

This obsession with conference affiliation is very aggy. It means jack-sh*t at the end of the day. All I care about is our record and the fact that our recruiting is going very well thus far.

Rivals is a joke. That's all that really needs to be said. We can have a discussion once you post 247 numbers. The fact that Weathersby was excluded from the top 250 is all you really need to know. 

On a side note, you really need to sit back and enjoy Longhorn sports. All I ever see you doing is bitching about Augie, Barnes and recruiting. Enjoy the ride. It's no fun if all you do is continually look for the negative.

I don't know how it's possible for any true Longhorn fan to bitch about Barnes after this season.  He did an amazing job with those kids.  Everybody bought in.  2014-15 could be special!

To be honest I really do not care what you think about me. Now in regard to Augie yep he is getting it fixed. Now where have we heard that before.
