the "eyes" have indeed been a bit heavy as of late.  this is certainly not due to a serious lack of sleep.  however, it is certainly due to a monumental lack of foresight.. as per so very many intangibles.  come on home vince young!  come home, to the ones that love you, respect you, and best of all know you.  we do not seek any extraordinary abilities per se.. all we seek, is your very presence.  we need you yesterday, we need you today, we need you now.. to help us grow, to help us move forward out of this permeating darkness.  we need your strength, we need your spirit, we need your guidance.  texas, is now poised as per a renaissance of leadership, that we have not witnessed within a few decades.  the forty acres, is now primed and getting ready to roar!  come back home vince young.. BEVO IS WAITING!

I'm surprised VY won't consider playing a year or two in the CFL in an effort to resurrect his career.

But, I'm glad UT has a position for him as a "brand ambassador"/assistant coach or whatever role we have in mind.  I believe he can help our players grow and develop in a positive way.  It will be great to have a living legend close to the program.

i for one, just cannot seem to get a handle, upon just what is it he's after.  is he just "chasing rainbows" like some irish leprechaun.. or is he just seeking a monumental payout, as per some unsuspecting team?  what gives?  vince, just needs to clean out his mind, return on home to texas, and start to create a formidable foundation, as per himself and his family.  as we are all more than aware..  there are not many past players, that are presented with such a generous opportunity, as aligning oneself with the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS moving forward.  vince, should really think about this.

i suspect it's not that hard. he's a football player and always has been and he's not ready to let it go. not to mention the league minimum for vets is likely several times whatever he'd make as any kind of ambassador.

trust me, i fully understand just what you suspect streettopeschel.. but what about the constant "humiliation factor" of constantly having to being cut, as per the team that JUST signed you.  at some point, enough is enough!  vince young, whether he realizes it or not.. represents TEXAS!  and it is high time for him to move forward with his head up.

monarch, i hear ya, but dreams die hard especially if he feels like his went somewhat unfulfilled. and from what we've all heard, there's some real life money issues that a few more nfl checks would help with.

I imagine the Browns represented VY's swan song as a NFL quarterback.

If you can't make it in BUF or CLE...it's time to hang 'em up.  It's a shame, but CFB greatness doesn't always translate to the NFL.
