Adams Theory - Moderate your expectations for the spring game

I never have any expectations for the spring game and haven't been in years.  Just don't care to go.  It's baseball season for crying out loud.

It's just for kids to get autographs and give everyone a fleeting football fix.  Nothing is shown, nothing is resolved.  All it does is punctuate the end of football season.

It signals the start of football season...baseball is just a filler (jk). Hey, it's still free and my son enjoys it. Plus we get to see how great that 3rd string QB looks against the 3rd string defense. Team Holtz!

i had a response similar to slim's ready, but don't want cotcher ragging me too. nevertheless, my 17-yr old expressed some interest and if he still is in the mood manana we'll probably make the trip.

I would love to go to the Spring Game. I understand that obstacles do rear up and bite people at times. In fact, this year we have a family member in the hospital, and cannot go, but I hate to hear it when folks say they have no interest. Unfortunately, I think that is a result of Mack's many promises, followed by lack of player development. Shame on him.

Charlie Strong is a refreshing change, and I cannot wait for the season!

Sean, I couldn't disagree with you more on Calipari, and to say all of college basketball is dirty is just wrong. Even if it were, it would not be an excuse for Calipari's actions. Regarding the NCAA rule change on meals for athletes, imo you are on target. I also believe that it is absolutely absurd that they ever denied athletes proper food to begin with. I wonder how many injuries could be, at least indirectly, attributed to poor nutrition. I cannot imagine a more worthless organization.

Hook 'em!
