So then do we still want him? Seems like we went all in on him…Ojo's top two have been Texas and Ohio State to this point.
This week, Tech has dropped a rather huge bag in front of him. Ojo uses the same agent that Tech's softball pitcher used to get that million dollar deal with Tech.
Texas will not match Tech's bag.
Ojo's recent camp performance was so bad it is expected to drop him out of the top 25 and possibly out of the top 100.
From Gerry today:
This is where national rankings guys back themselves into corners. Ojo should never have been ranked that high. The tape is just not there to support it - in any way. Anyone that has him ranked ahead of Immanuel Iheanacho probably needs to have a different career.
So then do we still want him? Seems like we went all in on him…
Might be time to call this one...this cat just doesn't want to go to Texas.
We'd like to have him, for sure. But we're not going to pay stupid money for a kid we're going to have to seriously develop.
Tech is their own worst enemy some times.
We'll get Turntine and Flood will fill the remaining with no problem. So Ojo isn't a critical recruitment. Losing Turntine would definitely suck though. But we're leading by a good margin there.
He has been Fong'ed to tech. Crazy. Tech wasnt even in his top 4 yesterday.
Lott doesn't want to follow in his fathers footsteps. Gerry has said this for months.Oregon put up a big offer. We love Lott but staff thinks what they have on campus is equally good right now.
A lot of decisions are being made, especially by the highest rated recruits, based on the dollar signs, not the opportunities.
