I think Texas only has one goal right now.

I don't see an article? But yeah, I probably wasn't the first to think that.

I think Texas only has one goal right now.

Texas has multiple goals. We have a staff dedicated to keeping irons hot and making contacts. I've been told that several "good players" have reached out to Texas in previous weeks, even with their current season still going and not having entered the portal yet. So we have a pretty good idea of who's coming out and how this all ends. You saw how quickly we signed the first wave of targets.

I would imagine you're right in that Sark and staff are zeroed in, but there is a team making sure things still work out with the portal and recruiting. But I also think Sark and PK find time to make some phone calls.

I have to disagree with this. The portal window is only for players to declare their decision to become free agents. Texas will get players this or springs cycle.

I haven't been keeping much in tuned with the recruitment. However, I was able to catch up on the few of the signees. Out of all of them Justus Terry sticks out to me surprised the hell out of me that I wasn't expected that the staff would get

The portal isn’t as rich as it has been the past couple of years. The thinking is that there will be playoff team portal entries during their allotted windows - of good quality.

Texas can’t afford to ignore the portal.
