2025 Recruiting Board/Thread

Just a reminder that CB Dijon Lee of Mission Viejo, CA will arrive in Austin tonight for his official visit.

IT saying don't hold your breath on this one with Alabama and Georgia pacing the recruitment, but the staff will give it their best shot.

Per IT, Texas has a real shot to move the needle with DT Kevin Wynn this weekend.

Much like DE Javion Hilson, he's high on Texas and doesn't have a problem leaving home.

On WR Kelshaun Johnson...IT reinforced what OTF said earlier about him having the opportunity to commit to Texas a few months ago in the spring, but he didn't take it for whatever reason.

That was before the staff had made significant progress with Ffrench, Moore's de-commitment and things quickly heating up with Hines, so his spot may very well be gone and we'll know more after the weekend.

They're being told he gave a silent commitment to A&M on his official visit to College Station, which would make sense based on Wiltfong's prediction a few days ago.

A guy we really haven't talked about at all since being offered will officially visit this weekend.

OTF says it's a total wildcard recruitment and they're just waiting to see if he shows up.

Per OTF, Texas has a legit shot with OL Nick Brooks and OL Lamont Rogers as they prepare to host them both this weekend.

Brooks will be in with his mother and siblings.

Rogers will be visiting with his mother, who loved the academics side on their last visit to Austin, and the Longhorns will be tough to beat if she favors them after the weekend is over.

Academics huge . Then why tech ?
They mentioned academics for the family, which isn't hard to believe being Nigerian.

But Smith is focused more on the football part, and it's possible he sees an easier path to the field in Lubbock.

We'll see how much of a priority he is soon.

247 saying DT Brandon Brown will be officially visiting with his parents, brother and a sister who happens to live in Austin.

Hamilton at OTF emphasized that big brother is huge in this recruitment.

Brooks has been getting a run of Georgia picks over the last week. Think we can get Rogers though.

Hamilton at OTF expects Orogbo in Austin with his father this weekend.

He said academics is huge.
He added that Texas has Orogbo behind Hilson on the DE board, but the staff could push for him this weekend regardless.

Any indication he will make a choice after this weekend since he will have visited his top two?

WR Kaliq Lockett told 247 he's added Alabama to his official visit list.

Texas remains his last trip on June 21st.
