I agree, though it seemed to catch up to the A&M pitcher Kennedy. They put her in to pitch the 6th and she promptly gave up 3 runs.Softball pitchers are a different ath. Oneof the best games I ever saw was a 18 inning 1-0 game where both pitchers pitched complete games?
Texas should have pitching advantage but slow starts has gotting team ln the hole early.
This. They need to move the fences back. 200 ft is just a lazy fly ball
On the first baseman play IM O it is the by product of roation. Onpitching doubt if any one has 4 pitchers as good as horns have. A$M had a loaded line up of hitters. This is the first time I've watched them play. 8 balls to walk those two batters? Pitching needs to be loads better. I think they said they had 3 errors. That won't work if they want to go deep in the series.
One play I saw, the first baseman didn't know how to field a throw from the pitcher/catcher off a bunt. An experienced first baseman knows you have your left foot on the inside of the bag, square to the plate.

You’ve only watched one game and you’re criticizing players and the sport? This is the first time I've watched them play. 8 balls to walk those two batters? Pitching needs to be loads better. I think they said they had 3 errors. That won't work if they want to go deep in the series.

Yes. Is there a problem with that? We are all armchair coaches at this point. That's what this forum is all about. This was the first time seeing the UT team. I've watched/played/coached years and years of baseball. In this case, it's softball but pretty much the same principals. Would you agree? You’ve only watched one game and you’re criticizing players and the sport?
I see what you're saying. Let me assume that by rotation, you mean the first baseman comes in to field the bunt, the second baseman covers first. If that assumption is correct, then she had no reason to come back to first to field the throw. She ended up on the foul side of first. The runner basically ran over her legs as she attempted to touch first. Complete mess.On the first baseman play IM O it is the by product of roation. This.
HR should be kind of rare. Maybe move it back to 275 in left/right with 300 center. This would bring actual base running and strategy into play. I guess if you do that, then you have to move the bases back a little as well to maybe 75 feet. Girls today are much stronger and great athletes.
No talking about roationof players at different positions. Catcher to first base etc.I see what you're saying. Softball is a muchfasrer game than baseball, makes it more excjting. As for as fence moving look at alum.bats.Definitely agree that HRs should be rare. Instead, a fly ball can carry out. Yes, bases to 70 or 75 ft.
This is probably true. Though I'd trade our 4 pitchers for 2 that are more dominant. You don't need many arms in Softball. I think Stanford used 1 pitcher in all of their 3 games - she's a player of the year candidate.Onpitching doubt if any one has 4 pitchers as good as horns have.
Yeah it’s ok. But what you did was pick one game and said you saw problems with the team. The sample size is too small. That’s like saying a player with a low strike out rate needs to work on his pitch selection because the first time you saw him he struck out. It’s a bit presumptuous.Yes. Yes, I can critique the plays that I saw. When a team ranked #1 makes 3 errors in a do or die game, that's not good. Of course, a&m made some mistakes in that game too but I don't care about a&m.Yeah it’s ok. But what you did was pick one game and said you saw problems with the team. The sample size is too small. I would not agree. There are many different strategies and techniques in softball that are different. Slapping and bunt coverages just to mention 2.Yes. Is there a problem with that? See ball, hit ball, catch ball. All the same.I would not agree. There are many different strategies and techniques in softball that are different. Slapping and bunt coverages just to mention 2.
