Based on incoming Fr and Transfers (committed and potential), who are candidates to transfer out now? Obviously the numbers need to be shaken out by fall camp, so I figure 3 - 6 will transfer after Spring ball. My candidates are:

Max Merrill - OL (will probably never see the field at Texas)

Billy Walton - Edge (still a project that will likely get recruited over before he develops)

Austin Jordan - DB (I like him, but that room is getting crowded now)

Jaylon Gilbeau - DB (Barron returning might push him away)

Warren Roberson - DB (getting over recruited, imo)

Maurice Blackwell - LB (Gbenda returning)

I really like Texas being one of the elite choices for top level talent. The team that has to turn away others because talent is gonna flock to Austin.

IMO, Blackwell is a better LB than GBenda

The DBs are assuming the Horns grab another DB or 2 from the portal (like SHA said he heard a DB name).

I agree, the Horns need another DL or 2, but they need to get a DL coach first so players know who will be coaching them. As of right now, I don't see anyone in the portal that is a true difference maker. The one from Houston would've been great, but that ship has sailed. Maybe one or 2 enter from Bama that could come in. Need to announce DL coach sooner rather than later.

Has Caldwell signed with Oregon? Could still decommit once the DL coach is announced.

Rumor I have seen is getting his transcript to transfer over, which would explain IT saying "a phone call" could change things.
