The Common Man Prediction Thread – Sand Aggy

Maybe, but I'd sure like another shot at ou.
Playing OU again is in our best interest regarding getting into the CFP.

If gives us a chance to avenge our only loss, which makes it easier for the committee to ignore, or explain away the prior loss.

OU is also ranked higher (13) than K-state and OSU (19 and 20).

I would say the refs are going to screw us big time even worse than last week when they took 14 points away from us on two very questionable calls. The holding in particular!
Us - 42
Them - 14
Refs - 14+

Yea that holding call on Banks was bs. If thats the basis of a hold then Sweat, Murphy, and Burke were being held every other play but they wont call that.

Tech has a decent run defense and a middle of the road pass defense. They may slow Baxter and co down a bit but I'd expect at least decent run success. That said, I think Quinn and the passing game will be the key on offense this week.

They have a decent run game that is predicated on a large volume of carries to go along with a decent success rate running the ball. Our ability to squash their run game will be an earlier indicator of how much offensive success that might have. Going through 3 QBs this season has obviously limited them in their ability to pass the ball successfully. They will have a hard time trying to beat us if they go one dimensional in the pass game.

Non-score predictions:
- Quinn goes over 300 yards
- They break our streak of holding teams to less than 100 yards rushing (though it may require 25+ carries)

Texas 35
Tech 17

Tx wins but again, no blowout. This team doesn’t do blowouts.

Well, we're 10-1 and poised to win the conference. Only one thing stands in the way of the CCG for Texas and that is Texas Tech.

Many Longhorns fans, alumni, players and coaches have this game circled on their schedule after the unfortunate comments made by the new Big 12 Conference Commissioner. I think we'd all like to stick it up his posterior.

A couple of players I don't expect to see in this game would be X Worthy and Catalon. I think this is a golden opportunity for Johntay Cook to jumpstart his college career. He's a similar player to Worthy anyway.

Yeah, Tech is on a short winning streak but they aren't beating good teams and they're only beating them by close margins. So no magic fairy dust going on in Lubbuttocks.

Texas will run the ball all over this defense. We will pass to compliment that and I expect some success in the air. Hopefully Ewers' shoulder is closer to 100% than it's been. I think Baxter gets 100 again and Blue will get close to that.

Texas 51
Tech 10

Looks like I am the winner.

What did you win ?

Tech had 28 carries for 110 yards. They picked up 14 yards on their last two rushes with less than 30 seconds left.

Quinn ended up just under 200 yards. He didn't have his best game. I did not expect us to put up 300 rushing yards.

Just a dominant performance.
Seems like they are parking at just the right time.
Really enjoyed watching Arch.
If they continue to play like that, they can play with anyone.
Congratulations SHA !
