*****GAME THREAD: #7 TEXAS LONGHORNS vs. TCU HORNED FROGS*****

Actually, I think he has a tendency to stay aggressive which sometimes bites him. Today he seemed to want to be more conservative and run it down their throats to milk clock and also score. Just couldn't consistently impose the run. Our OL just isn't great at consistently run blocking, but it should come with time. Pass blocking was great tonight. QE's white jersey is still pure white.

Very frustrating to watch. When trying to impose the running game isn't working, why not go back to what mostly worked in the first half?

Earlier in the year Sark went for it on 4th down near the goal line way too much when it wasn't working, instead of talking the 3. Eventually he realized that wasn't working and started kicking field goals. His running the ball on mostly every down with a leed feels like the same stubborn bad decision making, hopefully Sark Learned a lesson and stops abandoning the passing game when we have a leed late in the game.

As they say an ugly win is way better then a pretty loss. 9-1 baby...

I love Texas being 9-1, but this not a playoff team. I did not see J. Baron in the 2nd half, nor did I see Catalon. I think Baron got injured and didn't return. Saw a lot of #3 at the star position.

Texas already hit the floor with 9 wins. They have deficiencies that will not be fixed this year. The back 7 on pass defense is the problem.
Catalon didn't play after warm-ups. Baron did play the 2nd half and was in on the long catch to the former Longhorn TE. He looked clearly hobbled trying to chase the play down.

The offense scored 3pts in the 2nd half and that’s not on sark????
any defense that cant hold a 20 point lead is embarrassing, how many sacks did they get how many yards did they give up...You expect Sark and the offense to put up 40 every game, with the new clock rules we won't get that many touches, when we were up by ten did they make a stop NOPE, they let TCU march down the field and make it a one score game, we are a poor coverage team and a mediocre tackling team. We are not a CFP caliber defense....watch the ranking on Tues, Alabama will jump us

Woah woah woah, we're looking at this all wrong. Sark is making sure the Longhorns are leading College Football in TV ratings. What fun is it to watch a team blow someone out every game. Texas is making sure TV gets high ratings on every game.

And he is winning me money with the point spread.

Yup as they should. They are rolling… your not arguing with anyone about that…

Could it be that Sark has been challenging the offensive line to be tougher and to impose their will like an Alabama or Georgia? He talks about that all the time, but they're not quite there. That's what it's going to take to win consistently in the SEC so I suspect he's trying to build that culture. Makes for some anxious games, but it's probably best for the longer term.

When did I say I expect 40? I said I expect more than 3 in a half of football. I’m not defending the defense but for you to blatantly disregard the offense play calling is comical

Honest question for you guys, is the secondary being developed? It's obvious Bo Davis is doing his job with the DL and Choate is getting a lot of the LBs. Does Texas need to make a change at the DB and S coaches? Seems like these guys should be further along by now. I know Williams, Brooks, Gilbeau and Muhammad are young guys. Or is it PK holding the DBs back by playing in very soft coverage?

I've wondered the same thing. I wouldn't be surprised to see a secondary coach replaced after the season. Sark likes coaching continuity as he should, but upgrading one or maybe two each year isn't a bad idea.

This team is losing a ton of talent next year and doesn’t seem like the coaches are maximizing the potential they have in front of them. That’s what’s frustrating.
Some position groups are strong and deep, and others are still rebuilding. We have a lot of young talent coming up, but next year could see a dip with a new QB especially. Hopefully MM or Arch grows up quickly.

I havent even started on the offense yet , Sark is getting predictable and if I can do it without a stat sheet then something is wrong, I think he called a poor game, I think QE inability to consistently and accurately go deep showed in his play selection, the sequence that really chaffed my butt is we go 1st down-run 2nd down run, 3rd and short and he throws ?
I think Sark is giving the fan base coach BS speak, QE didnt have the zip on the ball and I think its because certain throws are painful, he missed high tonight
