I'm not sure I agree that the pitching staff needs to be rebuilt.Yes I know Horns staff has a low era. stanfords era was much higher, did not show with starters thiers was much better. Bull pens both teams left a lot to be desired.
You proved my point on pitching staff beeing rebuilt. and guess you agreed on three positions needing higher averages.
We are proably thinking the same just wording it different.
For one, we don't have nearly the info required to know that. Out of LBJ, Gordon and Witt, who returns? If 2 or 3 do, we may be set regarding weekend starters. I then named 6 bull pen arms, guys that could start on Tuesdays or could slot into the weekend rotation. Those 9 pitchers would essentially be a well rounded staff that with a year of development could perform even better than they did this year.
If we have a lot of losses out of those 9, or the staff doesn't like their developmental trajectory, we may need to bring in other arms. Some will be from the HS class, others transfer portal. We will have to see.
