Maybe he prefers to play against BYU, Houston and Baylor instead of Alabama, Georgia and Florida. He may not want that SEC heat.
IT has been saying for a while that it's a 2 horse race. He loves Texas and Sark's offense. He has also built a strong relationship with the staff at tech and they are going all in on him. Don't expect a decision anytime soon. I think if our offense does what we think they can, he will sign with Texas.

Washington told IT Texas is the school he's been a fan of since he was a kid.

He will officially visit Austin on June 17th.
He seems a little light in the britches for a TE. Does he have the frame for more weight?

IT does a write-up every so often called "Yes, Maybe, No" as it relates to Texas' chances with various recruitments.

As for what was noteworthy today, they have Texas landing both RB Jerrick Gibson and RB Christian Clark.

The only guys in the "No" category were WR Bryant Wesco, WR Ryan Wingo and OL DeAndre Carter.
On the defensive side, the following guys were listed as a "YES" currently.

DT, Alex January, Duncanville
DL, Melvin Hills III, Lafayette Christian (Lafayette, LA)
S, Corian Gipson, Lancaster
S, Jordon Johnson-Rubell, IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL)

These guys were in the "NO" category.

DL, Joseph Jonah-Ajonye, Conroe Oak Ridge
DE, Jordan Ross, Vestavia Hills (Vestavia Hills, AL)
LB, Justin Williams, Conroe Oak Ridge
CB, Wardell Mack, John Ehret (Marrero, LA)
CB, PJ Woodland, Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS)
S, Ricardo Jones, Northside (Warner Robins, GA)
ATH, Terry Bussey, Timpson
ATH, Aeryn Hampton, Daingerfield

No mention of Kobe Black in their write-up? Probably one of, if not the, best CB prospects in 2024, imo.

Slight build but can absolutely fly.

That 20.39 time is flying. The third place time would win a lot of district meets in Texas.
