*****GAME THREAD: #18 TEXAS LONGHORNS vs. #4 TCU HORNED FROGS*****

The best teams virtually always have experienced upperclassmen starting, especially in key positions like OL and QB. It takes time to recruit and build a team like that. We're not close to that type of team composition just yet, but it will come given time and consistency of coaching. Like everyone else, I'm frustrated with the inconsistent play, but that's what you get with young guys starting in key positions.

I still maintain need to give Sark time. There are problems, however the talent level is being raised. Much of the roster is freshman and sophomores, especially in the offensive line and qb. Let them develop into upper classmen and let’s see what we got.

I was there but it’s tough to defend him

Heard CDC on The Horn this past week, and he totally gets that the team is young and that it will take time to build it  the right way. No way he's thinking about replacing Sark.

Remember last season when the D sucked in almost every game? Yeah, that unit played lights out today. Remember when kickoff coverage sucked? This year, they're awesome. Give it time, it will all come together.

^^ common sense post of the year.

Sark believes in his system and that’s fine but when it is not working can you adjust it to get some kind of production?  Apparently Sark has no plan B.  He will ride it into the ground and watch it crash and burn.  Tonight that’s just what happened.  He could not move outside of his scheme and improvise.

I get that there are haters that want to fire him and others that will excuse every failure under his watch and say just wait til next year or give him more time.  I am in the middle.  Maybe Sark needs to be more of a head coach instead of an OC.  I feel being both is not something that he can do successfully.  Just my opinion.

Remember the knock on Mack was that he didn't actually coach? He just walked around the sideline clapping.

I think we're a young team, especially at the critical positions. A frosh is charged with protecting our frosh QB's blindside for crying out loud.

While that projects very favorably for the future, there are going to be days like this in the here and now.

We beat Kansas and Baylor we'll finish 8-4, about where most of us figured we'd be. Thats a nice step up from 5-7.

Understand that my point is this.  No doubt Sark has proved he is a an elite OC and has a natty on the wall to prove it  As being both a head coach and OC he has not proven he is elite.  His winning percentage is very average.  This is how I judge him, by what his record is.  People can put whatever spin on it that they want but numbers do not lie.  This is why we keep records of all this stuff.

The refs sucked, but not as bad as your ass

Watched the game was worse enough. This morning read on IT Sark said his QB played well enough or some thing like that.

Now I have no faith in Texas ever returning to good old days good under Sark.

For the wait till next year bunch count the seniors for next year.

As for as the refs. looked about usual for refs. now days. Three knock down punters one rouffing called.

Look Sark needs time. We don’t have the resources of a TCU or LSU to turn things around in less than 6 - 10 years. Be patient.

We really miss Neyor. Ewers depends too much on Worthy. Worthy doesn't adjust his route to go after the ball and he's inconsistent to boot.

Ewers looks to be the second UT qb to be shell-shocked by 'Bama after that hit he took. He has a calm demeanor, but you know he's feeling the pressure to perform.

Agree on Worthy. Not elite, but can get the job done.

Honestly sucks we've missed out on both Neyor and a fully healthy Omerie. Imagine a full WR corp of those 3 together. When T.O. showed up on campus, he was a stud.

We just can't seem to catch a break for it all to click at once.

Coach Steve Sarkisian arrived decked out in a suit paying tribute either to the mid-1970s San Diego Padres or Tom Herman's fabled hydration chart, and things only got uglier for Texas from there.

Why is it so hard for people to accept common sense and so easy to accept and jump on the bandwagon of negativity?

The bandwagon of negativity takes less thought, less energy, and certainly alleviates disappointment. Why not?

Y’all may want to follow the handful of constantly negative posters we have here, but I don’t.  I love Texas Football and have for too many years to count.  That is not going to stop, and I am not going to bash 18 and 19 year old kids.

So get on or get off, but as others have suggested, please stop feeding the troll/s.
