Jalani McDonald Fonged to Texas 

Question for you guys, does McDonald project more at S or CB?  Or would he be perfect at the Spur position?  Not sure about his speed.  If he has the speed and fluidity then his size (6'2" 190) at a CB would be awesome.  Seems like he would slide back to S at some point with proper weight training.

Bring Cooper, Peyton, Eli, bring the whole dang Manning crew.  Would solidify it with Hill since they're somewhat close.  Might even help with Duce Robinson (long shot, but you never know).  Hell, Sanders having a big year has to have caught his eye some, right?

Seems like the aggy refrain now, our recruiting sucks, but we will hit the portal hard.

The problem with this is none of the top portal guys will be interested in joining a program in apparent turmoil.

The portal guys that will be available will be guys that didn't pan out, and are hoping a fresh start will help.  Given the apparent locker room turmoil, this doesn't sound like a formula for success.

I'd put money that they wont hit the portal harder than the portal hit's them.

If Texas closes well with a larger 2023 signing class (class ranked in top 3 or top 5) - then we need to NOT sign a big transfer portal class and rather focus on developing the roster on campus 

don’t want to piss off the great Texas HAFB players and coaches we have on campus by recruiting random transfers over time and stunting their growth/playing time

We don't need a big transfer portal class but we need to hit a few spots hard. CB, LB, DL/Edge. I also want Evan Stewart in burnt orange next year. 

Even if we sign the #1 recruiting class we don't have the depth of talent on our roster we need. We are getting closer but not there yet.
