*****GAME THREAD: #1 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Texas Longhorns*****

Texas Longhorns super senior cornerback D’Shawn Jamison suffered an ankle injury of undetermined severity in the first half, according to head coach Steve Sarkisian, and did not return to the game.
He stepped in front of the receiver and almost had a pick.  The receiver dove and receiver landed on his ankle as they went down.  He got up limping.

Has any one reviewed the QB hits. Slow motion etc, and drew conclusions?

Where is Jjonny D.?

Been Dirt Bike riding. Watching news on Ewers 4-6 weeks sc sprain. Haven't seen video on Card's hit, heard he got twisted by 2 guys after the tackle.

They said we had nothing to lose, but it looks like we may have lost 2 QB's. Now Bijon with a shoulder MRI. Brutal game.

I am still wondering why no roughing he passer all. If Young was down as some claim it sureshould have been called.

Then maybe a busted play cost Horns the game.

He wasn't called down on the play. Also, on the explanation by the ref, he said that he basically mis-spoke and the call should have been targeting, not roughing. Since the replay showed no targeting, roughing could not be added afterwards. . My question is why didn't the replay show he was down? It happens all the time on a turnover or change of possession plays.

IMO he was not down. His pass atempt hit a Texas helment. Have watched in half, fourth and eighth speed on recording

Guess it was a big mess up in many ways. Belive tv screen said roughfing the passer. Neither coach or fans were happy.

Wonder who's fan threw water bottle at who's players?

They may have been throwing at the refs.

Another poster on this site posted a still picture that showed Young's shin down before he rolled over Sweat and let the ball go. According to that picture, he should have been down by rule. Tough to see that live but it should have been caught by replay. Either way, execute better in the red zone and it could be a moot point.

Eastex, No one except Sweat hit him. Good lord, let it go.  If you didn’t see it fine, but I think FS1 played it most of the night.

overshown is very athletic. He was running toward the play, and he pulled up and tip toed around the kid, unlike what Alabama did to Ewers.  There was no roughness, unnecessary or otherwise.  These officials were terrible.
