*****GAME THREAD: #1 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Texas Longhorns*****

If they don't blow the whistle, it's live.
Why didn’t they blow the whistle ? Reggie Bush said it was the worst call he had ever seen.
oh and how about those Appalachian state players ?
what happened to your Ags ?
9 total first downs ? Well there goes any chance for a natty bowl.
And after all that NIL money you guys spent last year.
lmao !!!

Ewers could be any day to 6-8 weeks depending on severity. Athlete's have had surgical repairs and played in a few weeks.

Card may be worse, likely high ankle sprain, they don't heal fast, or at all if you keep playing on them.

We thought it was a joke, but Charles White and Malik could end up with meaningful snaps soon.

Both QB injuries appear to have been done purposely. We play too nice.

To quote an Aggie troll, nothing left for Aggies but hype

Why didn’t they blow the whistle ?
Because their job required them to make sure Bama won. It's to the point that even college sports are so tainted that they are almost not worth watching the pre determined outcomes anymore. The fix was in.

Any genuinely curious about Bijan's heisman campaign: He has averaged 120 scrimmage yards a game and has 3 TDs. On pace for 1450 yards on the year with 18 TDs. Not heisman worthy numbers but we are talking about 2 games - one against a cupcake where he was wisely pulled early after 10 carries and the other, against the Alabama defensive.

He will need to average closer to 150 yards a game and keep scoring TDs in order to be the top RB this year and have a shot at the heisman.

We almost beat #6 Oklahoma, no way we lose to Kansas

We almost beat #1 LSU, no way we lose to Iowa State

Texas will not be back until we beat the teams we're supposed to beat. Lose to UTSA or TTU and we're right back where we started.
I do agree, we can't apply today's result to the remaining games on the schedule. I do think today answered some questions about what we are capable of, especially on the OL and the defense. Unfortunately we now have major health questions about our first 2 QBs and that could limit our offense overall.

I do think we can win these next 3 games regardless of who is back there but the long term outlook is limited if we don't have at least 1 fully healthy QB, preferably Quinn.

This has nothing to do with yesteryear. Bringing it up is pointless.

I think an entire Bama team will tell you Texas does not suck. And that would mean more to me than anything else.

What Bama players say doesn't matter... what should mean the most is that we actually beat the teams we're supposed to beat. Let's see how conference play goes.

And there you go, BRob just said on Texas Game Day Final that the hit on Ewers was “Dirty”.

BRob played on the 2005 national Championship team and only recently retired from the pros.  Is there a sniffer out there that wants to argue?  (By the way, he terrorized qbs)

One of my favorites from that era. Constant effort, heart, and motor on top of his talent.

I was really surprised by the number of facemasks, many uncalled, by Alabama, the hit driving Ewers into the ground, and the holds by Alabama.

Texas played a great game. I am sure there are some miscues that I haven’t seen, yet, but Texas played the disciplined game, not Alabama.

Saban is going to have a field day in field study.

Now we hope that Bama goes on to be the juggernaut everyone thought they were. If they repeat their performance against us, they probably loss a couple more games - the penalties, dropped passes will catch up to them at some point.

They really don't have too tough of a schedule this year - ole miss, aggy, arkansas, LSU - good teams but they avoid Georgia in the regular season

We definitely exposed their weaknesses.

As previous said welcome to SEC football. When Texas finally gets there this type of play will be every  conference game.

Well we can only hope the refs are not always that bad. That was a freakin travesty.
I will not be able to keep watching diksuk referees. It’s a shame, but if that is SEC football, I’m going to start doing a lot more fishing and hunting
