He noted the long standing relationship between him and flood/sark, back to their bama days.

Sark is big on relationships and it has been paying off. Probably more important than ever given NIL and transfer portal.

I can't verify this, but DT Sydir Mitchell supposedly said Texas has three silent commitments, not including Kirkland.

Two defense and one offense.

According to the On3Consensus, Kirkland is the 6th highest ranked player of the 12.
