But... the question is: did his two dogs, Boomer & Sooner, get on the plane with them?

SignUp Now!I agree with you 100%. Everyone seems to look back on last seasons 7-3 record and think we were only 3 plays from 10-0. We were also 4 plays away from 2-6 with no bowl game.Yea I left him out intentionally. I am going to give him more time just like I did the Herman and Strong. I turned on both Strong and Herman both for different reasons. Herman was fkn man child and arrogant pos. Strong was a good man just fkn clueless. Sark has had one year and yea it sucked but I think 2 more years. Most of you guys turned on Sark after his 3rd loss which is about right for typical Texas fans. Some of you never backed Sark to begin with. Right now you all have the Depp gun loaded but if Sark does turn it around I will remember the fire Sark crowd. There ya go, some shade from me.
I missed the ring post but it doesn't surprise me. Did anyone save a link to it?One more thing, I think Depp had a bad weekend. We won, Oklahoma lost a game and a coach. (can't believe he put an OU sucks championship ring on this board).
It's on page 283 on the Longhorns News/Discussion board posted on November 15. I don't have the heart to link to it.I missed the ring post but it doesn't surprise me. Did anyone save a link to it?

QB is a different animal. You don’t want your QB to be afraid that he’s losing his job due to mistakes. It’s a difference of fine vs gross motor skills.Well, thats one way of looking at it.
Not a real wise way, IMO. This is short-sighted, only looking at the here and now and ignoring what you can and can't do with mindsets that were made before he ever arrived. You don't look back at 18 and 19 classes or the lack of upperclassman leadership. Not all football players are extraordinary. Some just look the part and play something else. See our 5-star OT Tyler Johnson who never played. You say Sark never used the bench, yet he used it for the most important position on the field early in the season. I can name others. Did that motivate Card? Mmm, I don't think so.
Naw... I don't feel bad.It took me a second and a half to realize... I don't feel bad at all.
I agree ou sucks tears are great. But I am jealous in one sense… I wish we had had a coach that another team wanted to poach in the last 12 years or so.Naw... I don't feel bad.
As a former QB, you missed by a mile. You're ALWAYS aware of that guy behind you. Competition breeds excellence at all positions, including QB. You're the better option partly because you have to be.QB is a different animal. You don’t want your QB to be afraid that he’s losing his job due to mistakes. With regard to benching players - I’m specifically talking about a lack of effort. Lack of effort should find you on the bench. It should not be tolerated. I posted a video somewhere on hornsports where specific players were cited as not pursuing hard on defense aka lack of effort.
You’re arguing against something I didn’t mean to say. I’m well aware not all players are extraordinary players. I am saying that Football players are asked to do extraordinary things. Your average joe isn’t going to sprint 40 yards and run into someone sprinting towards him... or go up for a pass knowing he will be clocked in the air. THIS requires a coach who can motivate. That is what I’m saying.
They hit home runs in back to back head coaching hires. Here's hoping it begins a decade long "wandering the wilderness" age. LolI agree ou sucks tears are great. But I am jealous in one sense… I wish we had had a coach that another team wanted to poach in the last 12 years or so.
To be fair, they hired Lincoln on different terms. Not only did Lincoln have a couple years learning about the program as OC, Stoops also didn't run the program into the ground before handing off the baton. They hit home runs in back to back head coaching hires. Here's hoping it begins decade long "wandering the wilderness" age. Lol
God I wish they'd call John Blake back up. lolThey hit home runs in back to back head coaching hires. Here's hoping it begins a decade long "wandering the wilderness" age. Lol
Man... you seem to like to get into these silly fights. Every time you do this I end up trying to explain that you’re arguing against things in didn’t say. It’s exhausting. You come across as petulant and snarky. As a former QB, you missed by a mile. You're ALWAYS aware of that guy behind you. Competition breeds excellence at all positions, including QB. I don't think you'll find a single coach in the land who will coach a WR to go get clocked for a pass. The extent of their effort, aka those extraordinary things, is up to the player.
Maybe you should be asking instead of asserting.
I'm going to just let you think that. I paraphrased what you said, I wasn't attempting to quote you. But they meant the same.Man... you seem to like to get into these silly fights. Every time you do this I end up trying to explain that you’re arguing against things in didn’t say. It’s exhausting. You come across as petulant and snarky.
With regard to QB, I just disagree. You don’t want athletes using fine motor skills to be afraid of losing their jobs... or even to get too pumped up. It hurts performance. It helps if you are using gross motor skills (linemen and defensive players for instance). Example.... if you’re walking down a dark alley, and a pit Bull startles you, you’ll have incredible speed getting to your car (gross motor skills) but have a hard time getting the key in the door (fine motor skills). If you disagree that’s cool. No need to get snarky or respond with 8 “lol’s.”
And (sigh)I never said coaches teach a WR to “go get clocked for a pass.” You “asserted” that or pulled it out of an orifice. Coaches expect WRs to go up for a pass in traffic, and / or expect them to focus on the ball when they know a hit is coming. This may require motivation.
Yes I know you played QB... can we just disagree and be nice?
Reports floating around these parts that he is in Norman already. Haven't seen confirmation yet though. Will be interesting to see who will be running the offense.Sounds like Venables going back to OU is picking up steam.
I hope it's Shawn Watson ?Reports floating around these parts that he is in Norman already. Haven't seen confirmation yet though. Will be interesting to see who will be running the offense.
At one point he was referred to as the QB whisperer ?I hope it's Shawn Watson ?
