Quick Thoughts and Takeaways: For the third straight game, Texas is unable to hold a second half lead

Sorry, but as "appealing" as Dodge and Herman are, I want to see where we are at the end of next season. We're not even through Sark's first season. I know people always bring up Saban and Dabo when preaching patience with a coach after a lackluster start to their tenure. I want to offer another one, a Saban disciple. In Smart's first season at UGA, he went 8-5 (including a bowl win) and 4-4 in conference. In that season, UGA beat Nicholls State by 2 points and lost to Vanderbilt. Just saying, let's see what Sark can do when he gets more of his players into the program, hopefully brings in the OL help that SHA has alluded to, and overall, the team has a season under their belt in his system.
Exactly.  Great post.

Simply no coaching no desire to win.out of shape .Baylor players saying they new Texas would surrender.sorry but this loser coach will never build you a contender to soft.they don’t play best players

Look multiple  personalities  dysfunctional  disorder,

No, Herman doesn`t look good now or ever.

Herman lost multiple  leads  which shows why you are a troll:

2 yrs. Ago agzinst OK  with a 21 point lead in the last 10 minutes of the 4 quarter. Only to be tied with less than a minutes, luckily Sam saved his ass. For last year against TT, TCU, ISU, and OK only to win in overtime against TT.

Yeah, everyone our new goal is 7 wins a year.

Only the Goergia game was a surprised.

No, 1st year, as a transition class was a highly 35th. Last year, was on him at 17.

The fact that the staff went out and got 4 LBs, 2-3 DEs, 1 WR, and 1 RB says otherwise on the empty selves. Not to mention the 7 DL in this class and hopefully 5 OL and 3 OL transfers.

So, you say there is no talent? Huh?

Guessing that your non biological son Hudson hates to hear you say that about him along with Worthy( this staff brought in), B. Robinson, C. Thopson, Wiley, J. Sanders.

He will never be a coach at Texas again because of the off the field  issues he caused.

We don't  know about Sark`s record yet in bowl games. What does that prove anyways as about half the players don't play in them unless they are the Jan. 1 bowls( not even then either) or CFP games.
Lost games with big leads. It doesn't count if you win.

I'd bet most here would love 7 wins this year. Check back soon.

Bowl eligible all 4 years and won them all. Again, check back soon.

Tom's recruiting classes were 3rd, 3rd and 8th the last 3 years.

The returning starters from the program’s fourth-consecutive bowl victory include several members of recruiting classes put together by Herman’s organization that ranked No. 3 (2018), No. 3 (2019) and No. 8 (2020) in the country according to 247Sports. Relative to what Mack Brown left behind for Charlie Strong in 2014 and what Strong's organization had for Herman to work with in 2017, Sarkisian’s cupboard is chock-full of talented players on both sides of the football.

I said there is talent here now.

Most here assume I am serious about Tom coming back and are triggered.

The point is we appear to have gone backwards at a record pace, and people are excusing that as part of the plan.

Apparently Sark and Josh Moore got into a back-and-forth argument after practice. Moore cleared out his locker and his status with the team is up in the air.

About time Sark grew a pair. He coddles these guys going back to them time and time again after mistakes. You  never see him bark at anyone. Texas is too soft.

QB's can make or break receivers. Texas is lacking a QB since Major who uses his head as a weapon, and not the smart part.

Good QB's help receivers with look off's. Not just a progression from one side to the other looking for targets. Get to target 3, look back to 1 with a pump fake and 3 will likely be more open. Defender's best weapon is to watch the QB's eyes. A good head fake is often more important than a strong arm in wins, if not the draft. If I was a QB I'd wear a dark visor.

Arm strength is of course a factor, rainbows that allow multiple defenders to arrive at the same time as the ball are the worst. If it's not there in time, the receiver often becomes a defender of a 50/50 ball.

Accuracy is another factor. Having to stop and reverse your route and reach back or jump is all great stuff, but if it touches his hand after that it's somehow his fault for not catching it..

A clean delivery is another factor. A good spiral is easier to secure that a wobbly duck.

Failure to hit the safety valve in the flat is another failing. If you never have the defense worried about that option running wild, there is more time to stick with primary receivers.

Receiver's absolutely have an opinion on QB's. Just like a pitcher and a catcher. When their career is affected by a QB who is unable to help them and the team prosper of course they regret it. Likely the coach allowing those things to happen too. Especially a QB guru.

It's OK though, we'll figure it out in the next couple of years, or not and waste a few more years.

Are we sure Sark isn't going QB hunting in the portal after the season is over? I know a lot of that will probably depend on Arch. Just saying though.

I have heard that no matter what happens, including if Thompson throws for another 1,000 yards, we will take another QB in the portal if a good one is available.

Would probably only have a year to play so no effect on the March for Arch.
