Game Thread: #12 Oklahoma State @ #25 Texas Longhorns

He wasn't letting him hold on PAT's anymore. Of course he was. He got to game 4 then pulled him out until 1 play today.
Dude, they interviewed Sark after the second game and asked him directly. He answered directly. You don't get to speak for the horse's mouth.

I told you he was an int. machine. He proved it. Just one of them was a 14 point swing.
He's hardly been an interception machine and you are clearly hysterical and probably just need a toddy and a lounge chair for about an hour or so.

Doesn't matter what he said, it's what he did. Kept him out until an injury, then doesn't let him have a shot to do something.

just had an opportunity to listen to the post game pc. I have no idea if Sark is the guy to turn things around or if it can even be done but he is spot on when he talks about the physique of simply holding on. That is a mindset that has been demonstrated under at least the Herman regime. I’m no psychologist but I believe that kind of mind set takes more than 9 months to overcome.

It’s not all Casey’s fault we lost, but he did not look good with two huge turnovers. One that changed the whole trajectory of the game.

His lack of arm strength is also becoming a factor. The first int was a pass to the edge without much velocity, which gave the defender a lot of time to jump the route.

I would start Card against Baylor. We’re not playing for anything at this point but getting experience and building for next year. Card was pulled after he turned the ball over. It wasn’t all his fault that we lost against arkie, but  starting Casey made sense at the time. Maybe give them equal time the remainder of the season.

This was always going to be a multi year project. Best to get a better look at all the younger players to see what they got.

Thats his call. He was hired to be the head coach. Card did what every back up QB in America does – come in when needed.

Look, you know we have a porous at best OL. Card can't outrun our punter. Thompson works in this offense. Give it a rest.

Card is not elusive. With this OL, the QB has to be able to run. Baylor will sack him 19 times and Card will die.

Not really, but you get the point.

BS about mindset. He coached like shit.

You are wrong, you just don't know it. Card is the answer. You'll see.

Sark has a very spotty Head coaching record. We are seeing that now. He didn't have enough faith to stick with his #1 QB after 1 game when the whole team sucked. He sticks with his run between the tackles BS when it's a proven loser with this O line. The dude is thick.

It's cool if you're OK with losing for a decade. I'm not. This is fixable with a legit coach.
And just who is the legit coach you think should have been hired or was banging at the door to come here before Sark got the call? Newsflash, Texas has been losing for more than a decade so evidently we are unable to hire a legit coach.

You talking about Reilly.

I agree with you in theory. However in two straight games defenses have made us one dimensional for large parts of those games. During those stretches they dared Casey to beat them, and he could not.

Even though Casey has more mobility, it hasn’t really been a huge factor. He’s not a threat running the rpo that defenses are worried about. Card is supposed to be a mobile qb also. He looked slow against arkie, but that may have hesitancy. Either way Casey isn’t winning huge games for us with his legs.

Overall, we don’t have a franchise qb yet. Maybe Card can work more of the field with his arm strength. Either way we need to understand what both qbs can do by the end of the season.

It's not about who, just not this one. Again.

We have not had the best QB on the field since game 1. Every opponent's QB has made ours look like 2nd string. No wonder we are trying to recruit one.
