2022 Recruiting Board/Thread

I was looking at it strictly from a rating standpoint. Production wise we definitely did a better job of developing players.
Tony Jeffery was the same year and not ranked by 247. Nathan Vasher was in the class unranked also.
The class itself was only #6 overall. 23 signed only 8 ranked by 247 all but one was top 50 nationally and he was 57.
Nathan Vasher was a hidden gem

I'm fairly up to speed on Longhorn recruiting and I gotta say this is a name I haven't heard too much about, in regards to having a UT interest.

Also, until Jacoby Mathews dropped his recent top group, I had no idea Texas was in a good position for him.  Those are two names I didn't even think of being a possibility for this class, especially Mathews.

On another note, I originally hoped that all the love Kamari Wilson was sending out towards Texas was sign he was leaning this way.  Other people on the board said he was just trolling, but I didn't want to hear that.  Well, I think I've finally come around to believing he will not be wearing burnt orange.  I even had him on my original 2022 core list, but NO MORE.

If Texas can somehow pull in Mathews and Anderson, that will be a fantastic S class (Allen, Anderson and Mathews).

I LOVE RECRUITING AGAIN!

Why Clemson QB target never saw himself as fallback option for Tigers

https://www.yahoo.com/news/why-clemson-qb-target-never-135443865.html
Not that it matters because he will likely have a good career at Clemson, but that is exactly what he was to them, a fall back option.  I don't care how they spin it, had Ty committed to Clemson instead of Bama, Cade would not be an option for them right now.

It's moot now and congrats to the young man.  Hope he has a blast and does well.  I will always root for Texas kids to succeed.

How does that effect us and Denver Harris?
Reagins has been a nice ally for Texas going back to his days at Houston Lamar, but my feel is it won't ultimately be some sort of swaying factor.

Sark is going up against Saban who is esentially Alabama's DB coach, so it's not more complicated than that.

Lookingforward to spring practice and team roster.   As roster stands now ICount.

10 juniors ( should be seniors)

19 sophs.

10 red shirt freshmen

38 freshmen

77 total returning next year or eligable to return.

Rest are returning last year seniors and senior transfers.

If my count is not right feel free to corect me.

Three WOS and transfers after spring practice will determine numbers forrecruiting..

FYI I've pinned a new offer board for everyone to reference.

I did my best to take out anyone who was offered under Herman, but hasn't had their offer renewed and the new tallies reflect that.

If you can think of anyone I've missed, let me know.

I will work on the team roster soon.

This may be asking too much but a tool I use to use a lot in order see what roster holes are of need is a roster chart.  I use to look at the one posted on IT at least weekly but it looks like they either quit posting it or put it behind the pay wall.  Anyway, I found that chart to be very useful and now it is not accessible without a sub.

Chart was very useful to me was not aware it is gone. When new roster comes out you can make your own you are aware of format ruler, pen and paper and a little time. And can be updated more often than ITdid.
