I’d go ahead and do it now if I was CDC. We get some that might save us a couple of recruits. 

This list is me just thinking out loud. It is all inclusive and some of these have just crossed my mind with what they’re showing. Some of these I haven’t researched alot, so keep that in mind before you flame me. 

Urban- go all in and the only way I would lose him is if he doesn’t want to coach anymore or coach here. 

Matt Ruhle- just a phone call to make sure he doesn’t want to come back to the college game

The rest are up and comers and not in order of preference.

Billy Napier- ULL good resume and kicking ass right now. Worked under Saban

I want to believe IT over TFB when it comes to coaching information.  I always felt TFB was pretty spot on in regards to recruiting information or more in touch with the kids.    Always felt IT was more in with coaching information and/or inside team stuff. That's just from my outside perspective and ive been wrong before.

I think he’s lucky if he gets drafted.  The production isn’t there and he is injury prone.

I agree.  However, I honestly think there’s a bigger appetite for Herman to go than there was the wine sipper.

Face reality UM isn't leaving Fox Sports for anything less than Saban money, he has the titles already , at two different schools, three if you count Utah, he has nothing to prove to anyone. He can make easy money working half the year at Fox without the headache and stress of CFB 24/7 365..

A lot of you (and me too) had better get used to the idea that TH gets one more year, its the CoVid19 excuse that this year is a mulligan, an anomaly, and Texas can be tightwads when it comes to paying out money owed, every coach they have fired gets reassigned within the University system while they pay off his salary, they did it with McWilliams, Mackovic, and Mack Brown...I think Strong took a payoff so he could take the UCF job..and if they dont land UM there is no other coach currently out there that will bring a NC resume to the Forty Acres, any replacement could be the next TH 2.0

This was the problem I was saying from way back. Who you going to hire if Herman is let go? Very very few for sure things out there and if you can’t get one of them then you’re relegated to hiring an up and comers and for some reason those don’t work out at Texas. I don’t know if it is the culture, the demands on their time, the donor interference or what but those up and comers just don’t usually work out here. We’ve been nearly 10 years trying that. It’s expensive and it doesn’t work.

I'd be extremely happy if we could get Dabo Swinney somehow and I'd take him over Meyer.

I made this offer before but I'll coach the Horns for $3M for a year while they take a good long look for Tom's replacement. By using the expertise on this board as my coaches, we'd go undefeated and beat Bama in the CFP Championship!

I find it ironic that we were mocking aggy about handing Jimbo a $75MM/10 year, fully guaranteed contract, just a couple years ago. But, now we're talking about $12MM annually for UM? Reeks of desperation, does it not?
