Meanwhile, where did ISU, TCU, OSU, and even Baylor rank in recruiting? The issue has been with development under both the Strong and Herman eras. Tom has taken elite talent and turned them into a mediocre team. As a result, it seems to be causing highly rated kids to rethink their desire to come to Texas and play for this staff.

I don’t know who was calling plays because they won’t ever tell you but when we get the ball and needing a couple two or three first down and run for 4, incompletion, incompletion, punt is just crazy. They’re paying Yurcich way over a million per year. It’s either him or Herman but more on Herman because if my millions dollar job was on the line I would overrule some crap calls like that. You could have ran the ball three times and punted and left a little over a minute and Iowa St would have used their time outs. Instead they don’t have to use any time outs and a couple of plays they’re down on our goal line scoring. It’s just not going to work out with Herman. I’d have Urban on the phone tonight and let him come in and maybe save us losing a few recruits

You know Herman has been out coached by Lincoln Riley, Patterson, Matt Campbell, and IMO Wells from Texas Tech even though he won that game. Took a miracle to win it. Outcoached at least 4 times.

My take on game and Texas.

1 Defense has improved close to championship level.

2 Texas has two excellenr RBS.

3 WRS did a better of catching and fighting for balls.

4 Sam was improved in passingjust not enough.

5 After first quarter play calling was terrible, espically in certain situations.

6Iowa St. is good we will see how good vs OU.

8 Feel sorry for teamespicalySam they deserved better.

I am not so confident Texas will fire Herman and that is a depressing thought! The AD needs to feel the fire on his paycheck and Golf Club Membership as Texas has to Hire a Coach who is a proven consistent winner in the College ranks . Hell , I will take Art Briles right now if that was our only option plus he would take the job for $1 million a year I bet!   Longhorns , Cowboys, man this Thanksgiving has really sucked.
