Scored a Basil Hayden’s as a gift the other day.  Is that good swill?  And how much ice is enough ice?

Have any of you tried Uncle Nearest?  I love it.  My favorite is probably Buffalo Trace ?  C'mon weekend!

i think uncle nearest sources from Dickel so you may be able to just get some Dickel bottled in bond type and save you 30$. other dickels you might try are the new Smooth Ambler old scouts that say single barrel 13 year. 

if you like the buffalo trace you might step into 1792 full proof, russells reserve single barrels (the red bottle) or ultimately Old Forester 1920

McBizzle, or biZZy as I call him, doesn't really remember what any of those bourbons taste like as it's been many years since he put them to his lips. He really only drinks the antique collection from buffalo trace (and only those bottled prior to 2010) and a couple of the Van Winkles. The 10, 12 and 23 year old van winkles he calls Van Swill.

Going to enjoy some Blulleit after dinner, I drank all my white label TX.

Sampled a new one last year, Jefferson's Ocean.  very small batch from Virginia.   They put the casks in cargo ships and let them travel around the world.   The motion of the ocean sloshes the bourbon around and really helps pull the taste of the oak cask.

Interesting concept; vodka distilled from grapefruit.  Never had it though.
