He's hateful...but not racist.  Racism requires both prejudice (which he truly displays) and power.  He has no power
Seriously. Im just gonna stop now.  Sounds like an excuse card.  He specifically said whites not everyone.  KKK said those things and they are racist, no one here questions that.  Im not buying it man.  I respect your opinion but i disagree wholeheartedly

Hypothetical question. If the head of corporation x is black and he promotes a less qualified black man over a clearly more qualified white man is that an act of racism?  If the roles are reversed is that an act of racism?

My last comment on this and I already said.  What power do I have over you?  What power do you have over me?  I understand you are talking about systematic stuff.  BLM has a lot of power man.  Hell seattle has given blocks of down town to BLM and antifa.  Its almost self defeating to post black people have no power.  Thats bullshit and you know it.  They have the same power everyone else has, a vote.

Person to person, or individually, our power is equal; we all have the same power to vote. You're right, I'm referring to systematic racism which is about the laws and systems and policies put into place that continually oppress minorities. Regarding that power to vote, have you looked into voter suppression and how that unevenly affects the black community?

Because they have to show an ID?  Im not sure what you mean.  I have to show an ID to vote why shouldnt everyone.

Not at all...everyone has to show id in order to vote. Give me a bit and I'll try to post examples bro

That is not correct.  Minorities cannot be "racist".  Racism is more than just hating the color of another persons skin.  2 things are required to be racist: power and prejudice.  Minorities lack power...
How do minorities lack power?

You had a two-term black president, though he did nothing for blacks during his terms.

You dominate most sports leagues.

You dominate entertainment/music.

There are more wealthy black men than ever.

There is a Congressional Black Caucus, while a white caucus does not exist.

You have multiple television channels dedicated (most by name) to black people only.

However, if whites did any of the above, it would be racist. You can have your own secret definition, Dbut, but most people see that as being racist.

Like DMac said, any time you judge another by the color of his skin – it's racist. Economic stuff wasn't always even applicable. Was it racist to take slaves from Africa, where there wasn't such a thing as an economy? Blacks did that other blacks.

I think you've just narrowed the goalposts rather unfairly. If I treated you differently than everybody else just because you're black, you'd see it as racism, though it would have no social or financial/economic impact whatsoever.

"Blacks Only" is no different than "Whites Only"

Not true SHA. Racism in Amercia encompasses more than just hatred of another's skin color although that is definitely part of it. While you personally don't think you're better than another person based solely on skin color, and that's awesome, it doesn't change the fact that there are systems and power structures currently in place that oppress minorities. I honestly wish racism were as simple as "I don't like you cuz you're black". And I don't have my own secret definition of racism.  As a matter of fact I posted the definition of racism and tried to explain it. The issues I mention have been echoed by black people for centuries. I could not sit here with a straight face and claim no progress has been made for blacks and minorities since the abolishing of slavery. Hell you mentioned some of them. And just because economic factors haven't always been applicable doesn't mean that they aren't now. Have you heard of redlining?

Here's an article regarding voter suppression. It focuses more on the 2016 election but the issues mentioned are commonplace and have been

This part confuses me.

Voter suppression almost certainly helped Donald Trump win the presidency. Multiple academic studies and court rulings indicate that racially biased election laws, such as voter-ID legislation in places like Wisconsin, favored Republican candidates in 2016.
So why is it minorities do not have to show an ID?  You have to show an ID to buy alcohol, get on a plane, drive a car, etc.  But its somehow suppression to ask for an ID vote?  I do not understand that.

Everyone has access to an ID.  This is what happens when you start loosening those requirements.  I dont see how that is suppression

Man I said I would stop.. after this will. Buying alcohol, getting on a plane & driving or all privileges. Voting is a right. This country was built on no taxation without representation, yet too many people are having their votes suppressed. Look at how many polling locations are closed in African American communities. They move polling locations without notice. I’m sure Kenyatta Watson’s mom reported this happened to her this year. The Republicans in North Carolina tried to gerrymander their districts to suppress the African American vote. It was so bad the North Carolina Supreme Court prevent them from drawing the maps the way they wanted because they said it was clear they were attacking the African American vote with surgical precision. Then go look at the these that you can use vs what you can’t. You can use a gun license but you cannot use a student ID. That’s odd. Oh and not everyone has access to an ID. That is not a fact, just your opinion.

Apparently Mike Gundy drooped the n-word on someone back in his playing days. It’s about to get even more interesting for him. He may not survive to coach this year.

Yea if that is happening that is bullshit.  Completely agree.

What I do not agree with his how someone does not have an ID.  Explain to me how that is even possible if they are a US citizen.  Hell illegals can get driver licenses but someone how someone who was born here and cant make a trip to the DMV.  That horseshit

If you are a US citizen you have the right to vote.  But you have to be able to prove it.

Can I walk into share holder meeting and vote on proposals without having to prove I own any shares in the corporation?  No I cannot.

ID is a must otherwise you start getting voter fraud.

All the other points about voting polls closing etc.  I completely agree with.

You are correct voting is a right not a privileged.  FOR US CITIZENS.  How does the guy at the booth know you are unless you show an ID?

@HornsUp, don't "stop". I know these conversations can get frustrating but they need to be had. It's ok if we don't all agree but I believe if we each come from a place of understanding that progress is made. @primal defense, I love hearing your views as well. I'm not the most articulate and sometimes maybe I don't get out what I'm trying to. But I appreciate you guys and everyone's views.

I watched one earlier.  I get it man.  I just want everyone to be fair.  You cant demand something but not be willing to do the same.  I say that in relation of racism definition

Same here.  These are a learning experience for everyone.  Everyone just needs to keep open mind and be fair
