This is the kind of drivel that gets put on social media where other coaches can tweet it. And the kids pay attention to tweets.

And it's drivel because Texas has had the 3rd 3rd & 9th nationally ranked classes the last three years.

Jojo and Landon were high priority targets for Herman.. They are a big loss.

Jojo . . . let's review. A few weeks ago Jojo released his top 5-7 or whatever and Texas was not on the list. When asked, Jojo says its because we haven't paid much attention to him. So THEN we start paying attention.

That doesn't sound much like a high priority process. UT had to be reminded to recruit him.

I don't think Burris has ever visited OU and has said he's staying in-state and only OV's were going to be Texas and aggy.  If the burning bridges part is true, we need to take advantage and pounce on that.  

I think he has visited OU. Not sure if it was OV or not. But the smaller size of Norman seems to be one thing that appeals to him.

Nice addition.  This pickup adds quality depth and ensures the freshman class of Dixon, Omiere, and Harrison will all likely red shirt.  A depth chart of. Brennan Eagles, Jake Smith,
Marcus Washington, Al'vonte Woodard, Tarik Black, and Jordan Whittington is a quality WR room with potential to have a couple of breakout players in there.  You can also probably add in Joshua Moore, but we will see how he pans out after being out a year.  I didn't add in Kennedy Lewis because he isn't currently listed and there is no guarantee he will be back.

A friend of mine says Josh Moore is the best WR we have right now. He said Washington would be second. He said all of them have seen improvement. Of course, that was before the shutdown..

Texas and other schools better come up with a counter. Earle and Jackson were two of the biggest priorities on the board for UT.

Worst case, the signings of Broughton and Collins mitigate the DL scenario. They can always make it up next cycle.

I still think a DL class of Sanders, Thomas, Turner, and maybe an out of state guy is rock solid. Have to keep Sanders and close Thomas. I honestly think that’s a better combo than Jackson and Burris. Definitely wanted Jackson but we are going to miss on a bunch of guys each cycle. Not the end of the world and not a surprise.

I still think a DL class of Sanders, Thomas, Turner, and maybe an out of state guy is rock solid. Have to keep Sanders and close Thomas. Clayton Smith will be a DE/edge rusher and so will Derrick Harris IMO.  Don't think either is an off the ball LB.

JoJo Earle said Texas wasn't in much contact there for a while. And that's really the one source that matters here.

Nevermind.  Just reread the update where he was suspended in February and supposed to rejoin the team in June.  Think many speculated it was grades related so who knows.

Watching film of Lewis gives me hope the staff got a potential diamond in him.  Would love to count him in, but it's tricky when it comes to grades especially in this uncertain time. Did he get into the school he needed? Was there a delay in enrollment or classes that might push him back a semester?  Who knows.  He could re-join the team in June/July or he could have to go to Sam Houston State or JUCO.  I'm hoping he comes back to get the proper development.
