I believe in posting accurate realistic information that can be prepare people from the C virus. Especially, when you have a poster on this thread posting stupid and irresponsible post saying that the flu is worst.

However, you do have a good idea on being positive. If you or anyone else wants to start a coronavirus  support thread to help other members then I would be all for that.

Another reason why the C virus is more dangerous than the flu. It's important to take Vitamin C to protect your lungs.

CORONAVIRUS SURVIVORS MAY SUFFER FROM REDUCED LUNG FUNCTION

“They gasp if they walk a bit more quickly,” Tsang told reporters Thursday, according to the news outlet. “Some patients might have around a drop of 20 to 30 percent in lung function [after recovery].”

Lung scans of nine infected patients at the hospital suggested they had suffered organ damage.

A Tennessee man who became a subject of national scorn after stockpiling 17,700 bottles of hand sanitizer donated all of the supplies on Sunday just as the Tennessee attorney general’s office began investigating him for price gouging.

On Sunday morning, Matt Colvin, an Amazon seller outside Chattanooga, Tenn., helped volunteers from a local church load two-thirds of his stockpile of hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes into a box truck for the church to distribute to people in need across Tennessee.

Officials from the Tennessee attorney general’s office on Sunday took the other third, which they plan to give to their counterparts in Kentucky for distribution. (Mr. Colvin and his brother Noah bought some of the supplies in Kentucky this month.)

The donations capped a tumultuous 24 hours for Mr. Colvin. On Saturday morning, The New York Times published an article about how he and his brother cleaned out stores of sanitizer and wipes in an attempt to profit off the public’s panic over the coronavirus pandemic. Mr. Colvin sold 300 bottles of hand sanitizer at a markup on Amazon before the company removed his listings and warned sellers they would be suspended for price gouging.

As a result, Mr. Colvin was sitting on an enormous cache of sanitizer and wipes while much of the country searched in vain for them.

The article immediately sparked widespread outrage, with thousands of people posting angry comments across the internet about his actions.

Many of those people also contacted Mr. Colvin directly with hate mail and death threats, while one man even banged on the door at his home late Saturday night, according to Mr. Colvin and several messages he shared with The Times.

In an hourlong interview on Sunday, Mr. Colvin expressed remorse for his actions and said that when he decided to hoard the sanitizer and wipes, he didn’t realize the gravity of the coronavirus outbreak or the severe shortage of sanitizer and wipes.

“I’ve been buying and selling things for 10 years now. There’s been hot product after hot product. But the thing is, there’s always another one on the shelf,” he said. “When we did this trip, I had no idea that these stores wouldn’t be able to get replenished

Hope everyone out there is staying safe.  Tough times all around. Hang in there and keep in touch with us here.

Without anything going on in the sports world it's tough to provide that kind of news, but were doing our best to get interviews with recruits, etc and will post as they are ready.

I'm gonna need more articles and/or data before I take the advice of the French. Especially when other country's scientists haven't come to the same conclusion.
Agree. Plus Advil is my drug of choice nowadays with all the aches and pains I have!

So far, it hasn't affected my business. Our crews generally have no contact with customers. I meet on average 3-4 people a day and I'm faithful with my hand sanitizer after each visit.

We have projects lined up for a few weeks with more coming. So I can't complain.

The traffic here in DFW is like another city entirely right now. No rush hours. Moderate traffic throughout the clock. Easy to get from one place to another fairly quickly.

Dallas has closed its restaurants and bars. The burbs have not. I ate out last night with the wife and things appeared normal overall.

If people remain diligent, this thing can be nipped in the bud fairly soon. I think within a month or two, we'll begin resuming normal day to day life again.

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION BACKS CALL TO AVOID IBUPROFEN FOR CORONAVIRUS

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended that people with COVID-19 symptoms avoid taking ibuprofen, after concerns were raised by French officials that it may make the virus more harmful.

A recent study in The Lancet medical journal, theorizing that an enzyme boosted by ibuprofen could enable and exacerbate COVID-19 infections, led France's Health Minister Olivier Veran to suggest via social media that the medicine be avoided.

So are you suggesting we all start landscaping businesses to stay afloat??

It might be a little late for that idea. I'm blessed to not have some sort of interruption in this, thats all. I hope things return to normal soon.

I work at a nursing home as a physical therapist...still working but not taking admits so our census is dwindling.  No positive residents thus far, hope that continues for our residents well being (and workers of course).   Our department could go on hiatus if we get hit or the govt decides to halt activity at nursing homes.  Hoping for the best!  Glad your working world is continuing uninterrupted amigo!

Yeah, I have an aunt over in East Texas who is in a nursing home. A few days ago they locked the place down (no visitors) so we communicate with her via phone for now. Stay safe my friend. I think they'll be keeping you around. They're going to need the help through all of this I would think.

I have the pleasure of working at a grocery store. We are putting in lots of hours. We still have customers that are surprised and mad because we can’t get any TP. We can’t get enough water for all the customers either.  At least gas is cheap though.
