Here's what I'm reading regarding Roschon Johnson moving to RB.

Johnson is no longer viewed as an emergency option.

He has officially been moved to 3rd string RB

He will get snaps in the La Tech game at RB.

He will play the first 4 games of the season before determining if he will red shirted.

Johnson met with the staff and expressed his desire to play RB this season'.

And he no longer wanted to be the emergency option.

Get ready to see Roschon lined up in the RB position at some point on Saturday.
Good stuff. I see no reason why he wouldn't have success at RB. Kid has moves.

Read he runs a 4.8 somewhere today...can’t remember where I saw this but the number stuck in my head.  Hey, still faster than my 10.0 sec flat 40 time.
Yeah I saw that but was wondering if anyone actually knew if that's legit. 4.8 won't get him on the field as a RB very much. But 4.6 might.

And, honestly, 4.8 means QB is the only option if he's looking to get paid. But who knows maybe he just wants to play and let the chips fall where they may and be a badass off the field.

Gotta disagree. RoJo had over 7000 yards passing in high school. He has a better arm and is more accurate than Heard was as a RS freshman.
Ability wise they’re similar.  Stats don’t compare abilities.  I see the same traits in both.

Agree. I hope the move to RB is not permanent.
It's smart however you look at it. He could get a chance to shine and show he balls out which will only help Herman have confidence in him at QB. He's won it all with that kind of thing. And RJ ain't going to lose much. Maybe some clipboard holding strength.

LIL Jordan making plays!

I hope they put him on the practice squad. I know he won’t make the team, but if he can get on the PS then he has a good shot to make the roster next year.

Watching Charlie Strong and USF get hammered by Wisconsin last night made me think about how people really thought Texas did Charlie wrong and didn’t give him a chance. It also made me think of the kids that were not going to play if Charlie Strong wasn’t the coach. I’m just shaking my head. Strong set us back several years when we needed to be moving forward. Red was right. Charlie is getting exposed as not having a clue what he’s doing. He sure made a lot of money before everyone found out he didn’t need to be a head coach. Man myself and I’m pretty sure every Texas fan is glad those days are behind us.
