Steven Parker is a talented b-backer but that would be it. I was  hoping we would have more interest in him but we didn’t

As MBHORNSFAN has said before, if Bru chooses USC then he was never really looking at anyone else.  Sure, Texas has given him a lot to think about, but it was SC from birth.  Honestly, you cant fault a kid for doing that.  He said the one thing in that interview that I wish most kids would say "You choose the school and not the coach".  Just like Sam was born to be a Horn.

I think he said that as a response to a direct question about Helton.

What he was not asked is – what makes you choose a school?

I would say Yale or Harvard would be about the best education you could find – but no one is beating their doors down to play football there. So there is a question of – "what will the 3-4 years be like if I go there?"

If he wants to win, it will be Texas.

If he's content with a rebuild, it will be USC.

Texas and Cain make too much sense for me at this point. Relationships are strong in this one and his fit on roster is obvious from Day 1.

Yeah he isn’t going to trash a school in a public interview. What’s more important is the things being said behind the scenes, which are often things we or others can’t write.
