i would take all/most OVs as most kids should. Some for fun. Paid weekend vacation where people treat you like royalty and show how much they want you....signature.

Agreed. Especially if I know my offer is good until late in the cycle with the schools I’m considering/visiting.

Friends and neighbor's, it's a long way to NSD, but the Longhorn recruiting witches are doing their magic.  And they are doing it in the face of fierce competition from aggy and OU.  Typically new coaches have an edge over "older" coaches.  But Jimmy and what's his name from OU are finding out who the real boss is.  OU, however, is doing well OOS and needs an eye kept on them.  Aggy?  Well, meh.  Also, everyone should know there is serious negative recruiting being thrown at the Horns.  That's good, that means we are winning and negative recruiting is the last resort of a loser.

After watching Mack, Charlie and Tom, I have an opinion of their modes of recruiting.

Mack - Literally a "daddy" figure and the friend of the family.  Probably one of the best salesmen I have ever seen.

Charlie - Related well to the kids.  They just flat liked HIM.

Tom - The most tireless worker and detail oriented person I have ever seen.  He covers every minute detail and leaves nothing to chance.  NOTHING.

For those wondering what the teenaged boys will do in the coming months - be excited.  Also, be observant.  When Herman gets his clutches on them in their OV's, the game is mostly over.  Two of my connected friends said they have never seen anything like his ability to close a kid (particularly his family), once he gets them on campus.  I don't know about his Mensa rating, but the man is INTELLIGENT and he knows what the hell he is doing - completely.  The only time something gets screwed up is when something out of his control happens - like with an underling.  And it won't happen again if he has anything to do with it.

So, friends, the Longhorn football program is in good hands - I promise you.  And Del Conti was just icing on the cake.  We gonna be good - real good.

And this recruiting class will be awesome - I promise you that as well.

I'm thinking the FANS should move on.  The coaches will continue to recruit him.  And, yes, I have pretty good intel - but still dumb.  And I still love your handle.
