Brewster is learning the hard wayI don't know if we won by missing. Yes, he's probably the best LB in the state. But his issues were so bad last year that he got himself kicked off the team.
Some freak out about missing with Theo Weiss (sp?) and the kid from Dunne. I'm not sure we really tried so hard in either case. Its clear that we're targeting a different set of targets at the WR position. For Weiss, unfortunately, his QB held him back some last year or perhaps he'd have better numbers. No doubt he's good, but for whatever reason we're liking three other prospects more.
If you'll look back, we were sitting with 1 verbal in the 2018 class at this same time last year. I think aggy had about the same number they have this year. It didn't turn out so well for aggy while Texas' class just blew up in April, May and June.
We offered a third RB today for the 2019 class. Wonder whats up with that.
Brewster has suffered major casualties through his twitter thing over the past 48 hours. People are starting to notice what a pimp he can be. For a coach, Its not good engage the players on other teams via twitter. He's just done that.. . . and Ehlinger pretty much owned that exchange.
When will 24/7 put down the bong and rank Roschon Johnson correctly? Most of the list is pretty good but when you hit that ranking, you just wonder what they'e smoking.
WHO WILL BE THE FIRST COMMIT? My guy says there are a pair of them in the on-deck circle.
Regarding the 2018 cycle, how did we miss on Jalen Preston??? I don't anything of his recruitment. I just got around to watching the HP/Manvel state championship game and the kid is a beast. Did he really even consider Texas? Random, I know, but just thought I'd ask...I don't know if we won by missing. Yes, he's probably the best LB in the state. Sho....I usually agree with you but not here. I think Brewster SHOULD be learning, but guys like that just keep on doing the same dumb assed things over and over because they are not smart enough to learn things the hard way.Brewster is learning the hard way
He committed to aggy and we did flirt with him a time or two, including there late in the process.Regarding the 2018 cycle, how did we miss on Jalen Preston??? I don't anything of his recruitment. He won't stop because he thinks thats what he's supposed to do. Aggy graphics dept is probably a subset of their animal husbandry department, so its not like he's feeling like he's missing anything there.Sho....I usually agree with you but not here. His problem is, he's an old guy now trying to manipulate the thinking of young men, who have their own version of cool and own reasons for thinking such things are cool.
Brewster was a great recruiter back in 2002.
An old white guy trying to suggest dead dog town is somehow the it place is almost comical. Why not just throw out "Peyton Place?" lol
This is why I said he's learning the hard way. Some have already caught onto what he attempted to do and got his hand caught in the cookie jarSho....I usually agree with you but not here. Personally, I wouldn’t read too much into it. Noah Cain is still the top priority.Umm why is Texas offering a third rb.. What's the plan there?
So Brewster got into an exchange with Ehlinger? Wow, just wow.For a coach, Its not good engage the players on other teams via twitter. He's just done that.. . . and Ehlinger pretty much owned that exchange.
I was wondering about that. Texas is taking one rb in this class correct?Personally, I wouldn’t read too much into it. Noah Cain is still the top priority.
Texas offered under the previous staff, but he was viewed as a grade risk for most of the cycle. Staff tried to get their foot back in the door late, but it was too little too late.Regarding the 2018 cycle, how did we miss on Jalen Preston??? I don't anything of his recruitment. Seems to be the case for now, but things can always change.I was wondering about that. Texas is taking one rb in this class correct?
Texas will be picky on who they want at DB.IT is saying they don't think Jeffrey Carter will be a Longhorn. Didn't give much detail but did say it's curious a kid right in TCU's backyard doesn't have an offer from them. Anybody heard anything on this? Went from a heavy Texas lean to all of the sudden trending to aggy. Not worried about DB recruiting, Washington and Naivar will get some studs.
