2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

Yeah, it's February, like Daniel said.

Perroni is just sacrificing whats left of his credibility. No one says something like that in February. This year, Texas got ERRRRBODY in Texas, except the ones they didn't need. But did anyone know this last February? No.

Think about it. Herman just showed the world what he can do in this state on the heels of a ho-hum record/season. What do you think he does in the aftermath of a 10 or 11 win season?

And Perroni just ignores that?

Meanwhile, Fisher will put together some momentum this summer. OTOH, its still aggy and somehow, someone will find a way to screw that up. But I digress.

All that comes crumbling down when reality repeatedly slaps aggy across the face during a 4-week stretch of Clemson, Bama and Auburn. And aggy will scream SEC! SEC! SEC! and recruits will look at each other like "whut?" lol

Rant over.
This is how aggy starts every year. Lol

Texas hasn't even had a Jr day yet.

aggie always claims victory when they have a lead even though they always blow it later.

Its ingrained in their turdition.
I view aggy recruiting classes much like a view my nearest Kohls. There will always be a sale in late summer and everybody shops! lol

SHA ....I love your ideas, but I am going to wait until we actually win 10 games to agree.

Thats your prerogative. And I won't begrudge you for it.

I see a team that will be more experienced than last year while being equally talented and fast. We also have depth where we did not last year.

Then I look at the schedule and notice that ALL THOSE Heisman candidate QBs are no longer on the teams on our schedule (Mayfield, Darnold, Rudolph). Even the non-Heisman QBs are gone (Shimonek, Hill). So lots of green QBs playing against our ultra talented secondary and front 7 should spell ample opportunities. Kris Boyd should be AA next year.

Sha....thats another thing. I dont want to have a better record because everyone else has gotten worse. I want to have a better record because we have gotten better.

I could not agree more that all signs point to huge strides, I am just trying to remain in koolaide recovery until that potential turns into results.

You play the teams on your schedule. I'm merely pointing out whats ahead and that the balance of power is shifting.

I guess a prerequisite for WRTS is not FINISHING with a top 10 class in 4 consecutive years.

Come on guys, we all know you can't talk sense to ignorance.  Never been able to do it in all my years.  Don't even waste your time.  Just enjoy this 2018 class and upcoming season.  Things will work out......I promise

wasnt aggy destroying us for 2018 recruiting last Feb?...funny how things just never seem to quite come out for those ags.

Aggs very well may do better in the secondary this year. We took so many guys this year that if you want early PT, Texas will be a hard sell. We took 2 QBs and will have 4 on scholarship so we may not even take this year. So basically they have a 3 and 4* receiver. The real competition comes at LB, DLine and OLine. Those are the ones we have to win.

We are certainly taking RJ at QB. 5 in the QB room. Unless someone transfers, which is possible with a stacked deck.

I'm going to assume you simply forgot about RJ. IMO, he will be a five-star before the season starts next year. He is going to be a big time star.

IMO, we have to take 1 or 2 RBs. The OL haul should be larger than usual since it will be a talent pool stocked with them. Ditto for the DL.

Where Texas MUST have success will be at LB recruiting. We have to make up for some missed targets this year.

We also need a couple of slots.

WR will be a position of surplus in Texas next year. We should take advantage while aggy focuses on DBs, which won't be as strong next year.

I would have thought the same about RJ, was shocked when those rankings came out couple weeks ago and he actually went to a 3 Star. Someone posted em on here.  I haven’t seen him live like most of you but his film has me freakin pumped

Yeah, 24/7 has him as a 3-star while their composite has him at a 4-star.

24/7's credibility is in question on that call. There are not many Roschon Johnson's that come along in a lifetime. He carried his team and played better against higher competition in the playoffs. Kid has ice flowing through his veins.

Legit question,

i wasn’t on here thru J Heards recruiting. Was the talk with him the same??? Because I believe he was #1 dual threat that year. Just curious how the hype compares. He obviously didn’t work out at that position but was def a different offensive game plan then.
