2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

I can't remember who, but someone here is from the Newton area. We've discussed the talent in Newton a few times.

Wanted to let you know, Tom Herman is there visiting today.

I wouldnt be suprised to see herman take more of a national apprach for '19. Already have kinda offering the entire st Aquinas  (fl) roster. Smart move i live down the street and they are a pipeline that you want to establish.

This seems odd, “product on the field has to be better” A&M product was that much better?
No doubt.

No offense CoachEmUp but how is losing to Troy = “product on the field has to be better”.

LSU and ags are not beacons of success on the field.

SEC illusion

Good chance the #1 player in Texas for 2019 OL Greene shuts it down this weekend after visiting aggy.... They are off to an impressive start for 2019.

Long way to go. If herman can make a big jump this season then the whole nation will be on board. Remember the craziness after we beat ND, this will be more intense.

We are a brand that everyone wants to get behind.

Yes but the recruiting landscape will be much more competitive. Herman needs to win more games for sure.
This is the second time I have seen this post "better product on the field" or "Win more games"  Both in reference to the ags gaining top 2019 prospects over us.  First possibly Theo Wease and now possibly Greene.

Now I never majored in math but

ags finished last year were 7-6 (4-4)

Our record was 7-6 (5-4).

Three of our loses were by a combined 11 points to top 10 teams, 2 of which were OT.

While the ags barely escaped Nichols State and lost to Wake Forrest in their bowl.

We are better than that shitshow in college station.

It will be fun to see all the aggy tears when Herman and Co really start recruiting for 2019. Our coaches are still focused on 2018.

Unfortunately he looks aggy bound ATM.  His twitter is full of aggy stuff.  Looks like Shepherd will join him.  We will get Branson Bragg and Tyler Johnson and I think as a pair they are the better duo to get.

What's going to be interesting is if Herman starts off the year on fire and aggy sputters ( which they will ) how the narrative will change with some recruits.

We're in a good spot for Bragg, Johnson, and EJNO. Add about 2 more OL and we'll be good.

Jimbo can sell the future and playing time for the 2019 class as Herman did with the 2018 class. Texas needs to win on the field now. You cannot sell in 2019 what you sold in 2018. Recruits want to see results. Jumbo can show is NC ring and sell I need you here to do the same here...

Jimbo can show the ring as much as he wants. Herman has one, too. Those rings were won somewhere else.

Aggy, if we're being honest, hasn't won a title in my lifetime or yours. They would have to get through Bama, LSU, and Auburn just to have a chance at a conference title - which ain't happening.

When Jimbo gets fired or resigns, there will STILL be no titles. It was just two weeks ago when their fan base was asking if the honeymoon is over.

And lets face it. The only reason they're chasing 2019s so hard is because 2018 is going to be an absolute disaster and they know it and have given up.

No doubt that aggy will be aggy but I think it is reasonable to assume that Jimbo and his staff will recruit very well in 2019. This doesn't mean Herman and staff won't. It just means the landscape will be much different in 2019 vs 2018.

Hope Green holds off, momentum is building for Aggies, even if it falls in the fall.

Also, Kardell Thomas reaffirmed commitment to LSU unfortunately
