2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

Herman is smart, tireless, personable, and decisive. He appears to have an innate ability to relate to college age kids. I also believe he, and other members of this coaching staff, are able to spot the manipulative kids quickly and cut their losses. 

That statement is an observation that I’ve made. Take it for what it’s worth. He meets the prospect, evaluates, and lets the assistants stay in touch if the prospect is talented but too manipulative, unlikely to qualify, or otherwise not a great prospect. 

In this way, he’s able to see and offer many  fine players and put Texas in a great position.

He’s an animal. One of my favorites so far for 2019.

Safety Brian Williams commits to Texas A&M. Held a Texas offer and figured to be a major target. Good get for A&M.

This one is a bit surprising because of timing. Texas was in this, but their Db haul from this cycle was a bit of an issue, but wasn’t said to be a deal breaker. 

Good get for A&M, but it’s way too early to panic on any recruit out there.

Apparently he's a big fan of Mike Elko.  Still, a little surprising to happen this quick.  These are the same scenarios that aggy likes to cry about "being bought", "Never did consider Texas until recently", "Uncle Red!"

He was wrong, but he definitely wasn’t alone. A&M being in the picture was a recent occurrence and was viewed as being a landing spot. He also expedited his decision which was also something we didn’t expect.

From what I’m gathering things just  fell into place for A&M on this one. Keep recruiting the kid and continue to evaluate your options. No reason to panic.

Plenty of good DBs on the 2019 class. Both Carter and Richardson really like Texas.
