There Are Some Really Ignorant Basketball Fans on OB

The Texas women's basketball team just gave the #1 UConn women everything they wanted and more in a tough 75-71 loss. Texas, while they played good, did not even play a great game and yet the game was there for the taking. And this is an undefeated UConn team whose closest games this year have been 9 points and 18 points. 

Meanwhile, over on OB, there are some really stupid ass people running down the Texas women and not giving them any credit even though the game was in doubt until the very end. Texas only held the UConn women to their lowest point total of the year and 15 points below their average. Man, I hate it when people are that f...ing stupid  :angry:

It was a great effort by the Lady Horns and they almost pulled it off. And could have. If you didn't watch it, you missed a very entertaining game against the #1 team in the nation.

Yea was actually great to watch. Actually wish we wouldn’t have gotten fouled and went to the line with 15 sec left. With the missed free throw that sealed it dang it. Then again probably would have gotten the 5 second call because she was havin trouble getting the ball in. There’s ALWAYS those fans that are all ANTI moral victories.

It's actually a great board with some great people and some very interesting discussions.

It's problem is that it's poorly moderated with a heavy hand in one direction.

But doesn't mean it doesn't have some monumentally (as in how do you get up and dress yourself in the morning) style posters.

I was actually in attendance at the game last night and it was a great atmosphere. It’s hard to believe that UConn has lost a total of 2 games the past 5 years. Texas led for most of the first half and was within a possession or two for almost the entire 4th quarter. Definitely not an effort that deserves criticism.

I usually do some work at night, but the women are so good and the men so close, it’s difficult this year.

My problem with OB is the owner has admitted to creating sock accounts to spike interest and subs.  I'll never subscribe to a blog like that, regardless of the class of people that do.

Other sites may do it as well, but I am unaware of it.

I have not done OB for the owner or articles for years. .  .probably over a decade.

But it's a great community of posters.    This one is building a similar vibe.

I appreciate the financial support of dozens (likely hundreds) of board members who help fund good projects which have included my DVDs for the troops program (entering year 14), Wreaths Across America, saving a veteran's house from forclosure, paying one young ladies tuition and donating greatly to my son's scout buddy's service dog training.

There are dozens of other causes every year, no board steps up like OB

Like I said, far more really good people over there than the vocal but actually fairly small group of douche bags who want to ruin things for others.
