I am actually a developer. I develop websites and apps in C# .Net Framework, basically a Microsoft Full Stack Developer. You my friend are a bonafide genius. Your line of work HAS to be computer software. Although I read every single thing you wrote about PPI and PPC I didn’t understand a lick of it lol. All I know is I have to exit out of a ton of ads here, but sounds like that’s going to just be part of it
I wouldn't say I am a great developer but I do a little bit everything from IT, Database Administration, web/app development, and maintain my servers.
I once crashed my server for 7 hours during the busy season because I got too bold with regedits. The wife was so pissed at me I thought she was going to kill me. She got slammed with emails and phone calls when our business sites went down.
So I know just enough to be dangerous on some things which isn't always good
BTW,
PPI = Pay per Impression, which means hornsports is paid per ad served to the browser
PPC = Pay per click, which means hornsports is paid each time someone clicks the ad.
Adblockers, in most cases do not interfere with PPI but would interfere with PPC. The ads are stilled counted as served just not shown. Not in all cases but most. I checked the script files are still being downloaded so that should be counted as a served impression. Obviously we cant click it though if its not shown.
