What I'd like to see this weekend . . . a team that ditches all that fancy pre-game hype stuff jumping around. Maryland showed that stuff doesn't work. Just shut up and go win the game . . . a team that is playing LIKE ITS TOTALLY PISSED OFF. The rag on you this off season was that you're "the team that lost to Kansas." And now you've lost to Maryland, the Kansas of the Big 10. You completely wiped away any positive vibes and momentum built throughout the off season by showing the world you're, at least potentially, the same team you were last year.

That should be unacceptable on this team or any team. And it should be enough to keep you focused for the entire week. San Jose should be a complete wipe out of an opponent. You've got a monster to deal with on the horizon so let SJSU serve as both the punishment for last week and the preparation for the following week.

As my HC once told a team I played on . . . the most important game of the season is the one we're playing this week.

What makes you think that? :)

I agree if they don't show much improvement...

Have your bottle of  whisky ready because as you stated Saturday, USC is going to absolutely humiliate these boys. I don't think USC is an national contender but definitely better than Maryland on both sides of the ball.

USC can be had but they have to be ready for that challenge and that starts by destroying SJS.

Agree, an opportunistic Texas team could make some serious noise with USC. They looked very average last week. It will bear watching how they do this week. Maybe there's something wrong on that team.

IMO, we just need to execute and keep our heads on straight. Lack of execution was a problem so many times last week.

Saturday will say a lot about this team and staff. If we bumble and stumble by SJSU, oh boy . . .

Just rewatches the game and paused every play like Herman would do. It was ugly, Tristan nickelson needs to pull his head out or get off the field. And tight end grey need completely removed from the team. No business being anywhere near the field. All of that said, if coaches wouldn't have called some stupid 4th down calls. And couple red zone plays different then we still easily win. 4th and goal on the 5 and not getting a touchdown hurt, the 4th down on the 40 where we should have punted hurt. And there where a couple others. I know this was already said but I re watched and saw it myself. Game still should have been a W if it was up to the players. And they played like ass.
