Justin Verlander Traded To Houston

I know football season is revving up, but how about the last minute blockerbuster by Houston to land a future HOF in Verlander? 

I was skeptical of Verlander early on, but he is flipped the script lately and is pitching well. Cost Houston a few prospects (Franklin Perez, Daz Cameron, Jake Rogers), but none of which were deemed off limits and DET kicked in some cash to help offset the cost of that contract. 

All around I feel like this is a solid deal for both sides.

Not an Astros fan, but I thought it was a great trade for them. They desperately need starting pitching. Take some pressure off of Dallas and gives them a stronger starting rotation for a playoff series.

Absolutley. They've needed another guy to go at the top of the rotation even before the season started. The team is about to get healthy as the rosters expand for September. Time to make a run.

Great trade for the Astros. If they could have landed Britton at the deadline there is no doubt they would be the World Series favorite in my mind.
