2018 Recruiting Board/Thread

Just a sidenote to this and not to get off subject here but I saw on another site that Connor Williams wasn't even ranked as the best college OL in Texas by Dave Campbell Texas Football Magazine. Supposedly they ranked Koda Martin from a&m as the best. Did anyone on here see that?
Not sure how DCTF compiles their data, but I haven't seen Martin mentioned among the elite OTs over the past couple years. Not to say he isn't good, but Williams probably should have won the Outland last year. Robinson won off his name and school more than his play.

That was before Watkins decommitted
We are #8 at the moment.

We still have an average recruit ranking of 92 only Ohio State has a better one with 95.

Since the ranking also consider quantity and not just quality of the recruits ou is just above us at #7 with ten 3 star commits and an average of 89 per recruit.

Keep in mind Dicker the Kicker drags down our average score.  Hes like 80ish

Would you agree with the following statement . . . .

If we get Dean, Green and Jamison in the coming weeks – we're done on DB recruiting.

With that giving you a DB haul of Foster, Sterns, Overshown, Green, Jamison, and Dean, I would say yes.

I would imagine they still recruit Cook to the end, but it's going to be a tough nut to crack until they win on the field.

Cook will have a spot if he wants one. And If Herman wins like I think he will Cook will be part of the 2018 class.

Numbers will already be used against us at that position. If Cook comes aboard late, does that drive anyone off?

This is the reason that I prefer the kid from Georgia not to commit to the horns. I think 8-9 wins is in the bag and everyone that is leaning towards the horns ends up signing. The wins are there and Cook joins the fold without any decommits and the numbers line up. At least in a perfect world that's how I see it playing out.

That makes more sense.

If I recall correctly Tyron has the wing span of damn near 7 ft. If I remember correctly, either way it was impressive.

Being a Niners fan Trent Balke (now fired) loved lengthy guys and all things being equal would draft the player based in that edge.

Aldon Smith was that kind of guy, however you can't measure "dumbass" which he clearly was of the field. I hope he's got that figured out now 🤔

Length is mainly referring to how long your arms are. Basically your wingspan
