I was totally against Skip Johnson being named head coach at Texas and will be surprised if being hired the head coach at OU will change the landscape of the Big XII IMO.

It is also my understanding he did all of our recruiting for the last few years.

Another reason to not be impressed.

Wrong on this point, Tommy Nicholson was the Recruiting Coordinator, He was at more events(I know, I saw and spoke to him several times) then I could even fathom. He and Skip worked well together.

Now in saying that, Sean Allen and Phillip Miller are putting a new meaning on hitting the road.

OK, then there were multiple failures. Our team is sorely lacking in first-rate talent.

Skip didn't really do anything at Navarro in 25 years or whatever. Amazing the year he left for Texas, Navarro wins a natty. He could not even get a team in 2005 and was stacked with Chris Davis, 11 drafted pitchers and 2-3 other SEC players to the JUCO WS. This hiring is good for Texas IMO. Skip talks a good game and is a solid pitching coach, though. I will give him props on that.
