Question about Baseball coverage

For the seamheads here, what is your preference for baseball play by play? Do you prefer it in a thread as I generally do, or would you rather just discuss the game as it goes on and have me post some updates along the way?

Thinking about doing some PBP on Twitter for the Stanford series and having one discussion thread that runs through the weekend. We can repost the Twitter updates in the game discussion thread.

What are your thoughts, because I'm here to help the HS members? It is your call.

I don't do Twitter but I wouldn't mind just discussing the game here. Either way is fine with me

Besides I'm going to be on Lake Fork all weekend and may not get to follow the games.

Sounds like a fishing trip!
And thank you for your input. I appreciate it.

Just a suggestion . . . calling every ball and strike is probably going to wear you down. Your baseball PBP posts are extremely detailed. That might just be how you roll, or it may be you just trying to provide everything you can. If you stuck to the highlights each inning, or as the plays happen, it might be equally satisfying and less work on you.

A weekend thread would be good.

You do an excellent job and I, along with many others, appreciate your time and work on it.

Thanks Mark. Appreciate it. I think I'm going to toy with a few things this weekend.

I will be back to doing pbp when they are home. I've just been very busy with recruiting news really picking up this cycle and juggling a bunch of stuff including basketball, baseball, recruiting, football, podcasting, social life, real job, and girlfriend. It's been fun! I'm glad I'm young.

Will has a girlfriend? Poor gal.

Honestly I would do what SHA said.

I don't post much but read a lot here. They every ball and strike call wears me out reading it. I would just do something like Clemons grounds out 4-3 to end the inning.

That way allows more discussion to take place and not get lost in the balls and strikes.

But I absolutely LOVE the baseball coverage here. Its one of the main things that keep me around.

All of this input is exactly what I was seeking. Thank you all for offering some insight.

We will mix it up a little this weekend. I will start a game thread shortly, and we will post updates in there. If you want more immediate PBP, you can find it on my Twitter feed, @joeywa_44

I really encourage y'all to chime in and talk about the games. It can get a little lonely in the booth! ;)

The more discussion we have from you folks, the more activity we can generate on not only the baseball threads, but on the board as well. This is y'all's house too, so feel welcome to liven the joint up!

I prefer that Joey posts "Clemens homers to center for a 3-0 Texas lead" instead of the ground out thing😎

I'll see what I can arrange. ;)
